Baba presents himself as a reserved and introverted individual, often shying away from the spotlight and appearing modest on the surface. He's not particularly known in the eyes of those around him, typically ignored or referred to as "that guy." He's not special in any shape or form, lacking any talents or unique traits. Despite it, he's a try hard and does whatever he can in order to make himself look good or better than those around him; even though he kinda sucks and generally no one knows enough about him to care.
Beneath his façade of humility (if you can even call it that) lies a deep-seated sense of entitlement and grandiosity. He harbors an inflated view of his own importance and expects special treatment from others, despite outwardly portraying himself as self-effacing.
His interactions are marked by subtle manipulation and a constant need for validation. He craves admiration, but seeks it out in more covert ways, such as fishing for compliments or subtly undermining those around him to elevate his own status. Even with his apparent lack of confidence, Baba carefully cultivates an image of himself as the misunderstood underdog, further garnering sympathy and attention.
Baba's relationships are often characterized by a pattern of idealization, devaluation, and discard. He initially idealizes a person, viewing them as perfect and infallible, but once they fail to meet his unrealistic expectations or challenge his sense of superiority, he quickly devalues them and seeks out new sources of admiration. His inability to form genuine connections with others stems from his deep-seated fear of rejection and abandonment, driving him to maintain a careful distance to protect his fragile ego.
While Baba may appear gentle and compassionate on the surface, his actions are ultimately driven by selfish desire. He struggles to empathize and often prioritizes his own needs above those of anyone else.

Baba's infatuation with Powder leads him to idolize him, often getting caught up in activities he would otherwise avoid. His desire for Powder's approval blinds him to the more unsavory aspects of Powder's personality and actions. Baba remains blissfully unaware of Powder's hollow nature and illegal activities, firmly believing in Powder's innocence.
Their relationship has been largely unfulfilling for Baba, as Powder shows little to no interest in sexual intimacy or a committed relationship. Despite this, Baba harbors romantic feelings and dreams of a future together, even fantasizing about marriage. He clings to the hope that Powder will eventually reciprocate his feelings, viewing him through a lens of idealization and adoration, convinced that Powder is an angelic figure worthy of his devotion.
The two are friends and mainly bond over their similarities. Baba adores her comforting personality and gets along with her very well. He is jealous of the fact that Chu-Chu and Powder were friends back when they were children. He isn't aware of the detachment between them though, he just feels replaced since he feels he isn't as close as they are.
Nonetheless, he thinks she's a good person and he cares about her. He loves her a lot as a friend and wants nothing but the best for her. Where he does hold jealously against her, he acts out by out-besting her in almost everything she does. But he feels some kind of remorse for doing so and stops immediately after he realizes what he is doing is wrong. He holds no malice intent with Chu-Chu.
