“A man as free as the wind blows…”

That was Galen for most of his young life. A wanderer, traveler, friend to many but family to none. He went wherever the breeze happened to carry him that day. It took a tragedy to divert him from that path onto the one that would define the rest of his life.

A monster greater than any of them could ever conceive of nearly destroyed the wizard guild Phoenix Wing. 500 years of legacy and history erased in the blink of an eye, reduced to rubble and almost lost to time… when he passed through Caershire he expected the quaint mountain town to be as he last left it. Instead he found nothing but an empty crater in its place. In that moment, his priorities changed.

At the request of his dear friend Freyja, he stayed to help with the reconstruction efforts. “Just another day, just one more… just a little while longer, we could really use the extra help…”

She didn’t really need to ask.

By the time the reconstruction efforts were completed, the brand new lighthouse guild had become his home as well. The thirteen year old layabout somehow found himself a member of the most renowned wizard guild in the country… but for him, it was never a job. For him, Phoenix Wing was and always will be a family.
