For a majority of his life, Otto was a force of vengeance more than an actual person. His hatred for his brother and father fueled him to do countless unthinkable acts, staining his hands with the blood of innocents who got in his way or just happened to be associated with the wrong person… and yet it was all worth it to achieve his revenge against the brother he believed abandoned him.

Otto never claimed to be right, and he never claimed to be good… but throughout it all he claimed he was justified. First and foremost, whatever evil he did to the world was only penance for what was done to him. For the pursuit of survival and revenge, there was nothing he wouldn’t do. 

At the age of 15 he was put on trial for war crimes he committed at his father’s command. A jury of Phoenix Wing wizards including his own brother voted for his sentence to be a lifetime imprisonment in the Guardian’s of the Peace new state of the art facility. As the knights dragged him from that room he took a moment to commit the faces of every single person who dared to lock him away… and he swore vengeance once more. No prison would contain him indefinitely, he was sure of it.

True to his word, after twenty years he escaped.

Then, one by one, he began collecting on his debts.

Cyrus, the somber void wizard who advised the others to kill him: captured and imprisoned in his place in the same facility he attempted to banish Otto to. Otto then assumed his identity to infiltrate Phoenix Wing.

Freyja, his brother’s pretend sister without a dash of sense to be found in her thick skull: death by his hand. A message to his brother and her fellow wizards, their guild is safe no more.

Tahlin, the archer, first and foremost a loose end: eradicated without a second thought. He needed her death to settle suspicions surrounding Freyja’s.

Raphael, the angel of his own brand of Justice: Already imprisoned for his own crimes… and yet he dared to cast judgement on others? Regardless, he was already being punished and outside of Otto’s reach.

Ryllae, the unfitting leader of Phoenix Wing: She was given the personal honor of watching her guild crumble around her because of his schemes. No matter how hard she tried to piece it all together… only dust remained in the end.

Which left only his brother, Almeric, the Fool King of Drachmeer… his punishment will be the most severe of them all…
