Appearance

Obsidian is a stocky cat with long black fur and electric blue stripes. His eyes are blue. He has a tuft of fur on his head that is silver-grey.

He wears a long brown coat and a grey-blue scarf around his neck. He wears a brown newsboy cap with blue-grey patches on it.

Personality

Obsidian is perpetually nervous and anxious, but despite this tries to be friendly. Because of this, he doesn’t have too many friends but he cherishes the ones he has. He is shy and doesn’t mind spending time by himself. He isn’t a brave cat and tends to withdraw when things go south. He’s trying to be more brave however. He tries to keep an open mind and is pushed far enough, will argue for those he cares about. He has a curiosity that he hasn’t yet been able to fulfill due to his youth.

History

An orphan to unknown parents, a kitten Obsidian appeared at the flying cat base of Thunder’s Wing one night. Found by Rainwing and Lunarluck, they asked their commander Thundara what they should do. They decided to keep him there and raise him communally, Rainwing being his primary caretaker.

He grew up around flying cats and ended up often feeling alienated. Rainwing and his other friend Radical, often proved to be his company, something he grew used to.

Now it is fall, the ending of the school year and the students of Thunder’s Wing are going home. But just as respite is in reach, disaster strikes when Thunder’s Wing is burnt down by a white dragon who mysteriously targets Obsidian, calling him “The Knight”. Obsidian escapes narrowly using a lightning power he had never used before but is unable to return. The only clue to why this happened lies in the stories of the Thirteen Knights.

Skills

As the Lightning Knight, Obsidian displays a wide potential of use of the Lightning element, not hindered by one single ability. His magical reserves are also seemingly endless.

As far as hobbies go, Obsidian is a ravenous reader. He also picked up an interest in woodworking, though hasn't had the chance to pursue it.

Trivia

• Obsidian’s favorite candy is taffy, specifically from the Conflagno Kingdom.
• Obsidian, as a character, was actually created circa 2011! His origins were of the (human) son of Black (from Pokemon) and an unknown wife. He was also the trainer of Zekrom. After his exposure to an entity known as the Time Maelstrom (through possibly Missingno.) he gained an “”evil”” side known as Error.
