Father of four kids, Lore is getting up in age (or so his 'children' say, who are all adults with their own lives)...
He always worked hard to provide for his family, having made such a large one as a young man. While he was born and raised within a bustling city (and this is where his kids have gone to run amok in), in his own adulthood he ran away to the low-populated plains and attempted to maintain a business of his own, after a few failures.

Eventually, managing 'catch-all' laborers stuck on, as his charges grew loyal and cooperative under his natural giving nature, matched with his fatherly approach.
He still runs this business to this day, despite it tiring him, and he wouldn't have it any other way! Unfortunately, his obsession with becoming financially successful without relying on others left his ex-wife little time with him, and by the time he had eased up on his work to be with her, it was too little too late. 

As far as outward appearances and demeanors go, Lore can be pleasant enough-- downright amicable and welcoming when in stranger's company-- but it doesn't take much to impassion him and turn him into a bit of a grouch, growing closed-off or snappy, depending if those around him are accommodating or selfish.
Underneath his impulsive bites, he still means well, and will apologize before long if he realizes how rude he can come off. He has taken care of a lot of people in his time, and sometimes he thinks he can 'see through' the bad seeds, and can get a bit pushy with those that don't match frequencies he is used to.

He has laser-focus when he is doing something he feels will help him (aaaaaand maybe for things that really interest him). His work is one of those things that can keep him occupied for hours on end, which can get him in trouble with those that wish to spend time with him, and because of this, he often conflates his obsessive nature with being something of a lone-wolf, which isn't entirely true.
