Physical Description: Average height, weak physique lacking strength, triangular ears (often submissively pinned back) and almond shaped eyes, thin eye brows, pointy and upward cheek fur, hair tuft on his head goes backwards, straight snout with snub nose, claws despite retractable are filed short to fit gloves and shoes. His cincture (belt) is worn high over the waist.
Clothing Style: Plain black soutane for daily routine with very tight fitting collar, always wears black leather gloves and shoes. Festive and costly garment for liturgy with fittingly colored silk gloves. Wears glasses to read and while holding masses (heavvily far sighted due to age)
Seeminlgy confident (but ears tell otherwise), fiery talker on social occasions (likes to talk with his hands just as well), introverted, proud, devout, intelligent, adaptive, passive-aggressive when talking to those he loathes, drawn to self-dramatization and privation, once idealistic now broken, prude, anxious and easy to stirr up, arrogant and manipulative.
In public Demetrius appears in a rather smug manner. Only on seldom occasions he can't maintain discipline anymore and uses a rather aggressive and swearing language and displays frustration with bared teeth. he usually does so on Tiberius.
Likes: Staging himself as the center of attention and yet values alonetime the most, praying in silence, a glass of wine, surrounding himself with like-minded, walking and working in his parish garden, sinking into books, fire and the smell of burning wood, listening to organ music, singing, eating meat (especially ham), using Tiberius for his gain and protection
Disikes: Insomnia and feeling remorse when overtired (prone to drinking), being overworked and sinking into endless paper works, getting criticized, Jean-Baptiste, temporal authorities, getting dirty, body contact, diseases (prone to mild hypochondria), children and loud noises, getting surprised by rain, unpleasant smells
• Demetrius diet mainly consists of dried bread, water, picked berries and mushrooms, leaving him hungry most of the days. This almost ascetic life-style was thought by his new mentor. Only occasionally Demetrius is able to enrich his diet with meat from the celebrated ritual butchering he's in charge of holding, as he was appointed as a sacrificial priest by Bishop Jean-Baptiste. He suffers from food jealousy and wolfs down food when alone. His connection to Tiberius allows the fox to buy meat backhandedly on occasion
• At the end of the day Demetrius doesn't care who he is told to kill, as everybody is indifferent to him. He only cares about his own salvation and not the fate of other folks
• He only feels remorseful when he is on his own and when has got time to reflect upon his choices, eventuelly leading him into melancholia (depression) and illegal alcohol abuse.
• He grows embittered and cold hearted with age, acknowledging that his ideals and his willingness to help others have been shattered over time. Being constantly overworked with paperworks and tasks given by Jean-Baptiste, to continuously being confronted by the suffering and problems others confess to him, he grew apathetic and depressive; as much as he values confessions of sins as a way to privateg obtain information and power.
• Forsaken on charity's sake, he now uses Tiberius, who swore fidelity in exchange for getting included into prayers, for his own plans and ideals.
• He "talks" more with his eyes than his mouth shows (He usually doesn't grin with shown teeth; commenly only when he find himself losing control he bares teeth.)
• He's a pyromaniac and chronic liar. When Demetrius still was a pup, he used to lit items on fire to express himself, get rid of negative feelings, or to gain (negative) attention to make up for the neglect he was confronted with daily
• He usually smells like incense or rose
Demetrius knows that his mother worked as a harlot, but he neither knows her name, whether she lives or died, or what she was like
The only person he ever truly got along with. He never got over the loss of their relationship when Vitello disappeared over night.
The two had crossed paths in their early childhood already. Tiberius later became Demetrius' personal guard dog in exchange for prayers and spoken absolution. They're doing shady business together in secret.
Demetrius is, or rather was, the superior to Ansgar, and considered him a friend.
Jean-Baptiste was forced to raise Demetrius and mentor him. The two never got along.
Judith was the sister of Vitello. After his sudden disappearance she suspected Demetrius to be the cause; since then, she and Demetrius are at a resentful strife.
