    Fireflykit was born to Lakebreeze using a rogue donor alongside her brother, Cricketkit. Growing up, it often felt like she was never good enough for the high standards set by her mother. Lakebreeze wanted her kits to be the best warriors the clan had ever seen, but Fireflykit knew that she wasn't even good, let alone the best. She tried to be, but she just couldn't achieve that, not when she was so forgetful and unmotivated. Unlike the other kits in the nursery, Firefly most certainly did not look forward to being apprenticed.

apprenticeship [ 6 - 12 moons ] >
    Fireflypaw and Cricketpaw were apprenticed in the early leaf-fall. Fireflypaw was a highly nervous young cat, and she was quite hard to train due to how skittish she really was, and how hard it was for her to pay attention and just do things like a normal cat. As she continued into her apprenticeship, however, she slowly began to take steps to realize that Lakebreeze had messed her up and that she was worthy. Fireflypaw also began doubting her gender- soon, she was sure that she wasn't a "she" at all. Fireflypaw kept his new knowledge to himself, afraid of disappointing Lakebreeze by thwarting her expectations, but after some gentle coaxing from Snowwhisker, he came out as a demiboy.

warriorhood [ 12 - present moons ]
   Fireflydawn was named a warrior alongside his brother, Cricketstorm. Even as a warrior Lakebreeze continued to be overbearing, and he wasn't too happy when she announced she was pregnant. She'd already messed him and Crickestorm up enough, she didn't need more kits. Finally, when she refused to get treatment despite being sick while pregnant, it was enough to get Fireflydawn to stand up to her. What happened next was moons of stored up resentment all rearing their ugly heads in one massive argument. Lakebreeze said that she wished he had never been born, which kind of really hurt. Until the kits were born, Fireflydawn refused to speak to her and even once they were he was cold to her, only really talking to the kits. But then the unspeakable happened; the very illness that had been the source of their argument had become the cause of Lakebreeze's death. Fireflydawn was a wreck, to say the least. He felt wretched and upset that his last memories of his mother were of anger, bitterness and unhappiness. He began to withdraw from the clan again, backtracking on a lot of the progress he'd made.
