Growing up in a shit household with a shittier dad has its perks. It makes you tough and gives you character, or at least that’s what Adachi prefers to think instead of trying to deal with his emotions. Being raised primarily by his mother, when Adachi’s father came back from the war, the younger inkling had already built quite a portfolio as to why his father deserved to be resented. So, when Adachi found out that his father had packed up and started a family elsewhere, it was only natural that Adachi followed a few steps behind to try and suss out what had been worth jumping ship for.

What Kentaro didn’t expect, was that his father was raising another son. 

In an act that Adachi calls "being noble" (but most likely was just spite), Kentaro forcibly inserted himself into the new family, whisking away his little brother and taking him to the big city. With a desire to make ends meet and an inability to stay out of trouble, Adachi joined the Screaming Banshees and eventually became their leader, all while his little brother Spencer was making the family proud by going to university.

Because of his intimidating reputation, Adachi was also hired by a wealthy businessman to serve as an escort and glorified tour guide to the businessman's only son. Begrudgingly Adachi accepted the job, and the money that he was paid set Adachi and his gang up for life. However, if you asked Adachi what he thought of the job, he'd tell you that he loathed having to escort around such a self-absorbed, pompous, twink of a man - but then conveniently redact the part where they're romantically involved on the down-low.

To this day, Adachi has positioned himself as the tough, no nonsense leader of the Screaming Banshees. He loud, proud, and imposing, and won't hesitate to kick someone's teeth in if they're being a nuisance to any of his gang. His group is his family, and he'd do anything for them, but everyone knows that his little brother comes first.
