Lyon

Lyon is Kaygen's male Utahraptor. Despite being a carnivore, he is surprisingly gentle with a mild personality. He loves to be cuddled and pet and is happiest when he is with Kaygen who almost never leaves his side. Despite his friendlier demeanor, he is not to be underestimated for he is not afraid to attack anyone who hurts Kaygen or his friends. 

As a member of the hunter-class, his kind was raised to help humans hunt, fight, and travel. He is quick, agile, and a deadly hunter, capable of providing food for himself and Kaygen if needed. His kind is notoriously difficult to train and are almost exclusively owned by Mages. Kaygen's mother, Airi, assisted with his training since she had experience raising his kind. Lyon is actually one of the offspring of Airi's former Utahraptor companion who unfortunately perished in the war.

Because Kaygen is mute, Lyon has been trained to respond to hand signals rather than voiced commands. Due to his intelligence and early start to training, he learned Kaygen's hand signs fairly quickly.
