Motivation: She wants to take care of people, and desperately wants a stable home. Her hope is to get a real house on Nexus, research the local flora and fauna, and that the war can end so the injuries she's treating can stop usually being from combat.
Personality: Obsidianne is a gentle giant who compulsively needs to take care of others. She's also a hopeless romantic who's not particularly fond of her size and just wants to be treated as small and dainty herself. She adores animals.
History Overview: Like her big sister, Marbelle, Obsidianne was born within the fleet after the War of Gnox. She followed her big sister around a lot as a child, and as a "teen" (Her 50's or so.) started picking up on the ways of the medic to keep Marbelle and her friends safe. Eventually, her interest in animals bloomed into a passion for xenobiology. She didn't stick with FCON like Marbelle, but she did make it a point to usually be living on the same ship that her sister was stationed on between planetary deployments. So the two never really grew apart. She almost joined C.o.G.S., but found she couldn't bring herself to separate herself from the war effort when news spread of the Ravaging of Arboria.
Obsidianne quickly grew enamored with the new gardening and farming techniques of the Aurin. And very eagerly volunteered to be among the first wave of Granok to get "hair." That may have been the start of her fondness for the group and their culture in general. Now on Nexus, she's looking to tend to the needs of the Exile settlers and to work her way towards owning her very own house.
Faction Opinion: Obsidianne does not approve of the Dominion government, but she exclusively blames the chieftans of Gnox for the War of Gnox and her people's exile. This is a strong point of contention between her and Marbelle. Obsidianne holds no disdain for Dominion citizens, and she'd spare a Dominion enemy whenever it was reasonably possible to do so. (And likely attempt to take them back as a live prisoner.) But she's not oblivious to the conflict, and considers the Dominion's more recent history with Grismara and Arboria to be abhorrent.
