About

Appearance

Matka is a large cat-like (8’4”) goddess with a centaur body plan, giving her six limbs; two arms and four legs. Her fur is bright green with darker green stripes outlined by a lighter green. She had four crystal protrusions on her back with dark purple stripes outlined with lighter purple. She has short pink fluffy hair. Two similar crystals act like “masks” around her eyes and she has a crystal horn in the middle of her head. She had longer pink fur on all six of her paws and a short fluffy tail.

She keeps her main outfit simple; silver bands around all her paws and one on her neck, all with green gems imbedded inside. She wears a green cloak and dress, ornamented with lime green designs and gradients. Occasionally, she’d wear golden armor but that is rare.

Personality

Nowadays, Matka is a fearful recluse but has always been known for a stern, even overbearing personality. She has a craving for order and control, as is her nature, going to extreme lengths to feel like she’s in control. Nowadays, her lack of control has turned her paranoid and distrustful of everyone. Still, she retains an aloof and professional facade, as to not let anyone know anything is wrong.

History

Along with Konflict, Matka is one of the goddesses of Cyberspace, being the goddess of order, stagnation and stability. For a time, her and her sister lived in harmony as they shaped the landscape of Cyberspace. However, as they were opposites, they were always destined to clash and clash they did. The cycle would be that they’d clash then make up only to clash again later. After one such fight, they retired to do projects on their own. Matka’s was the creation of the cyberpeople, people who never changed.

When her people and Matka’s, the Cyberpeople, met, they found themselves unable to be around the other. The glitches’ mere presence hurt the Cyberpeople but the Cyberpeople made no attempt to stay away. Seeing her people hurting, Matka demanded Konflict change her people who demanded the same. Neither was willing to budge and it seemed all that they created may be destroyed.

In a rare moment of cooperation, they decided to create an ambassador. Each took the best parts of themselves and put it into a new entity who they titled The Limbo Prince. Stuck between two conflicting natures and needed to learn to walk the thin line between them. The goddesses would try to say that he went mad, donned a silver crown and ran wild but the truth was kinder to him.

Galvan earned the people of Cyberspace’s respect and love quickly, showing them how to be together in harmony. The goddesses grew jealous but Konflict was hesitant to punish him, as he was doing his job, albeit too well. However, after a bid of attention when he stole a trinket from them, Matka proposed the plan to seal him away. They ambushed him and tossed him into a hole within the fabric of the world, leaving him there.

In the time since, they have not been able to garner the worship they once did. Matka refuses to accept this and dreams of coming to her full power again. Some whisper that she is taking drastic measures to try to topple the current pantheon of New Cyberspace.

Skills

Even with her waning powers, Matka has a lot of power at her disposal.

She can manipulate electricity and technology to a degree. She can create small constructs easily and larger ones with concentration. She can form balls of energy, mainly for combat. She can commune telepathically and often does.

If harmed, she has a regeneration factor, able to come back from damaging wounds. Grievous ones are possible to bounce back from but it takes a lot of time. A bad enough mangling could dispel her physical form and with her waning power, its unlikely she’d be able to reform.

She can change her appearance but sticks to her default centaur form as it is easiest to maintain.
