Eijiro is the older half-brother of Mikumo Kuromachi. He's a member of the Demon Slaying Corps, but decided to become a Kakushi instead. Though he had passed the Final Selection in his own right years ago, upon receiving his Nichirin Blade, it did not change color. He did not reach the sufficient level of strength to make the blade change its color.
Regardless, he kept his sword and still carried it around when working with the Kakushi, lest there was a sudden attack to happen and there was a need for manpower. Though he is a Breath of Wind User, he mentions the wind is too faint to be seen, similarly to how Murata describes his Breath of Water.
Similarly to the other Kakushi, Eijiro is an attendant in the Butterfly Estate in most of his down time. As he still opted to keep his Nichirin Blade, there will be times he will be found training in the Estate.
PERSONALITY:
Eijiro is a humble young man who is very dutiful and takes his work seriously. He is always on the lookout for whoever is put in his care, and is willing to push himself that extra mile if it meant their safety and he gets his job done. He suffers a fair amount of insecurity because of his inability to make his Nichirin Blade change in color and thus join his sister Mikumo in the front lines, and thus puts all his effort in making sure he and the Kakushi excel in their work.
As becoming of an older brother figure, and as one of the eldest children, it's a part of Eijiro to be rather brotherly with others. If anyone went out of line, he isn't afraid to call them out and discipline them. Elsewise, he isn't so imposing on others, and simply means well. Despite his sister Mikumo far surpassing him in strength, he does not stop fretting and worrying for her. By extension, he has started treating Mikumo's friends like his own siblings as well.
Probably as a result of his survival and passing the Final Selection, Eijiro isn't as fearful of demons as others epect him to be. Despite his insufficient strength, he will still stand against a demon if he were given no choice.
