Solomon had five children. Two of them he's not entirely sure are his, but at the same time Archie does have Solomon's heterochromia so he never accused Rita of cheating.
Oh how he should have.

Robert, Chris, and Leila are all Sol and Rita's kids. Archie and Merida are actually Angelo's kids, and neither they nor their siblings know.
Only Rita and Angelo know, and OH how Angelo panicked when he saw them for the first time.
He thought for sure he was dead. Sol never picked up on it.
Angelo did secretly spoil his kids, though Sol passed it off as Angelo just being a nice uncle, as he had spoiled the other three as well.
Rita has no regrets, except that Sol never figured it out.
Angelo has MANY regrets, especially that he never told the twins.

Merida was the oddball of the siblings, being too sweet to work with Rob in the basement, and too kind to work with Leila or Archie, she instead found her calling as a medic for the family.
Merida had one son, Ferdinand. She died in childbirth, leaving Sean to raise Ferdinand, fortunately Archie and Sean were fast friends already, and the family took them both in permanently.

Merida is calm, sweet, and softhearted. If you thought Archie melts hearts, Merida puts him to shaaame. She hated having to patch folks up in the basement, but found comfort in the fact that at least she could alleviate some of their suffering. Not one prisoner lashed out at Mer, and she was nicknamed Angel.

Her Scars:

Archie and Merida were both present during an attempt on their "Father's" life. It was a bomb, the shrapnel of which hit both Archie and Merida, Merida shielded her face with her forearm.
