Introduction

Patron of the seasons and patron of luck, Semi darts around mortal worlds, lost in the meadows and forests, the woodland creatures calling to him. Cheerful and optimistic, he invites all to play his Game: an elaborate chase, across the known universe, to catch him and subdue him. Any mortal who succeeds will have their greatest wishes granted, free of trickery, morality, or caveats. This is his life's work.

He immerses himself in mortal culture, becoming one of them, dressing as one, acting like one. He trades labor for a night's sleep, crafts for jars of honey, entertainment for the local fables. And when he feels he's about to overstay his welcome, when his Game participants are about to descend upon him, he mounts his motorcycle and bids the people adieu. Such is life, enriching and engaging.

Occasionally, he flits home, or to Sessy's Hive. His visits are always brief - the stagnant world of Fragments bores him, stifles him, and he always sets off sooner than he'd guessed. He loves his peers, but... he knows they look down on him, consider him stupid, think of him as flippant, despite how stuck-in-their-ways they are. 

But it's okay. He still loves them very much.
