Simon

Simon is your tough, hard-working, sexually driven, short tempered short man. He's big on health and fitness and somehow also big into beers. He hasn't worked out how to not get drunk before almost anything he does. Liquid courage is his anti-drug.  

Simon has an ego about the size of his muscles with the compassion for others the size of his... well height. He will go to great lengths to make himself feel better or stroke his ego.  Usually when people are trying to be proud of themselves, he'll go out of his way to make himself feel better. He'll say something like he's done something more intense than what someone else did.  Or did something better than someone else. He'll even go to lengths to be proud of doing even worse at something if someone's bad at something.  Simon will insinuate or try to egg someone on to compliment him.  He'll make subtle hints about something that he wants compliments on and will just smile or even point at it.  Like if he's done a big lift he'll thumb over to the lifting bench. He wont even say anything, he'll just grin and raise his eyebrows.  If someone doesn't notice or wont compliment him, his interest or interaction with that person will plummet. He'll take it personally and not want to talk to them anymore.  He'll even be slightly passive aggressive.  

And if he's not the center of attention, he'll try and bring it back to himself. If there's a conversation going on, he'll either interrupt it or find a time to change it to himself or something he's more interested in.  People waver on how to deal with this level of narcissism.  Mullet refuses to indulge him. Chloe tries to make it fun. Darren is helpless to Simon and constantly reaffirms him even though Simon has no respect for Darren.  Amy legit will be convinced Simon is fun and interesting.  Tanya, Brad and Scarlet share Mullet's sentiment oddly enough. 

Johnny and Simon get along and the most stereotypical male friendship of the series. They watch sports together and shoot the shit every once in awhile. For Riley, they are regular partners but that doesn't mean he enjoys her company; he frankly finds her annoying. Other girls in his class he has a hard time respecting, especially Katie since they have had one or two flings. He also finds her somewhat insufferable. They feel the same for him.
