SUMMARY

Amy is a happy, affectionate, chubby, treat loving doofus whose innocence is severely tested.

PERSONALITY

Amy is the cheeriest, happiest, most prone to silly actions out of the main cast and most of the entire cast. She's got a heart of gold, wears her emotions on her sleeves and even if you're just absolutely reprehensible, she'll find a way to love you and get you to dance. Though not the most aware of the world, she's able to maintain good spirits by being around those she loves. She does her best to spread her contagious cheer. While her upbeat, can do attitude gets on others' nerves, she has no idea it happens. When her world goes slightly dim, the rest of the world must be black.

Amy gets along with pretty much everyone but the person she's drawn to the most is her old crush, Darren. Darren provides the calm serenity to Amy's energetic charm. Amy doesn't understand her bud, Mullet but that doesn't stop her from loving him and all his constant complaining. Chloe and Amy are inseparable gal pals with a penchant for loud singing. Later on, after not really noticing him, she grows to absolutely adore Luis and all his stupid humor.

HISTORY

In comparison to Mullet, Scarlet, or even Darren, Amy has had a relatively happy and wholesome life up until this point. She grew up as an only child with parents that doted on her. Amy's parents fostered a loving childhood for her which she knows she's lucky. Her parents did their best to strike a good balance of doting on her and giving her attention with proper discipline and exercising limits. She always struggled with maintaining a level of maturity while growing up. If it was quiet time in class, she couldn't help but burst out giggling for no reason at all. She would act out of line, not due to maliciousness, but due to childlike immaturity and get punishment. Usually detailing a talking to after class or a note to parents or most often, movement of her desk away from her classmates. Mostly away from Mullet because those two would be known to cause mischief. Or well, Mullet would and Amy would burst out laughing. This would send both of them to detention. This created a rather non-discussed connection between her and Mullet. Spending a few times in detention every trimester. This would usually terrify Darren as he was usually nearby. Rarely was he ever sent to detention, of course never of his own accord. Scarlet would be sent as well simply by proximity. Word got around their teachers of middle school that Amy really wasn't to blame.

But of course her best friend has always been Darren. She's spent countless hours in class, at home, on the way to and from school and even on the phone with him. They spend hours talking about all manners of things. School, subjects, friends, music, animals, etc. It would be an incomplete history of her without mentioning her intense and fierce crush she shared on him throughout early and middle childhood. It boarded on the ridiculous at times. While they were younger, near the ages of 8 to 12, she would attempt to get anything to be with him. Stealing kisses, writing notes, hugging him tightly, etc. While he appreciated the attention, it would get on his nerves as well as terrify him. Darren has never had large self-image and so this only made it seem like he was more undeserving. Also, it was just too much for him. There's only one or two times that either of them that he can remember finally breaking and becoming cross with her. Not in an attack of her character, just that he couldn't handle that amount of attention.

Oddly enough, those times only enhanced their friendship. Amy took it to heart for she realized she was being horrible and Darren realized he was wrong for snapping as harshly as he had. It's something they both have pretty much forgotten at this point. Later, Darren began to realize he might be gay. There is not a person in the world who is more supportive of him, than Amy. She has always championed his happiness and romantic life. Due to her past overbearingness though, she only helps and does not force him to find a boyfriend. Now they discuss life in The City and where the next interesting place to visit might be. He helps her with recipe ideas and she helps him talk about the Weather Machine.

Mullet's loss of his brother was almost as traumatizing for her as it was for him. Just hearing about such a horrible death at such young ages, even though she wasn't involved, freaked her out; she just didn't know that was possible. And while it confused and frightened her, she still wanted to be there for Mullet. But he wouldn't let her in. For the first few months after it happened, he was mean, rude, blunt and sullen and attempted to put her off. This only hurt her more as it felt like she was losing him. And... essentially she did. He never really was the same after that. He'd talk to Chloe but not her.

Her interactions with Chloe are nothing but good. Chloe came into her life the same time she did for Mullet and Darren. Since the first day, they've been inseparable. Amy brings out the intense playfulness of Chloe and Chloe keeps Amy operating on high and happy energy.She was the first one to also talk to Scarlet. Scarlet doesn't want to acknowledge it but she appreciates Amy's company, even if it's grating for a depressed introvert like herself.In terms of mentors, she actually is probably the most lucky. Dorothie's carefree but upbeat attitude is just the right place to let Amy thrive and frolick. Amongst the plants and misty atmosphere.
