Hello, new diary! I'm feeling really good about this year, got into my university and got a new car!!! Passed my P's and everything

Miki is a complete ball of sunshine and someone that brings joy to those around her. It's extremely easy to impress her and make her laugh. She has an idealized view of the world and romanticizes every aspect of her life. She's curious to the point where it often annoys people because of her endless amount of questions about things that should be blatantly obvious. It doesn't bother her when people are curt or blunt with her, in fact she appreciates it because she gets answers to her questions more quickly. She has an extremely open mind, so much so that she'll believe anything you tell her.
Despite seeming like an airhead most of the time, Miki can be very focused and clever when it comes to subjects that she cares a lot about - like plants for example. She doesnt hesitate to start on a long lecture when people dare question her knowledge and ability to care for her flora. When it comes to caring for plants or any other non-human organism, Miki takes on a more gentle and mature personality and treats them like priceless treasures.

Miki was born and raised in the small town of Hatanaka. Her parents never moved around, which benefitted Miki by allowing her to plant her roots and grow up without any worries. However, as a child, Miki was quite nervous and shy. For some reason, the idea of bullying always really terrified her, so in order to avoid it, she would stay away from the other kids and play by herself. She would spend her time playing with pebbles and sitting with the trees and flowers near the school. She talked to them a lot, knowing that plants wouldn't laugh at her, tease her, or push her down. They became her safe space.
In middle school, her parents started to struggle financially. Her mother was giving up her job as an accountant to pursue her dream job as a chef while her dad was a masseur. As soon as the summer came along, her parents sent her down to her uncle's place in the countryside where she would stay until her parents got more stable income. Miki was never told why she was sent away, her parents just said it would be a fun trip for her since she had been stuck in Hatanaka for her whole life. This move came as a shock to her and for the next year or so, all her thoughts were about how she must have done something wrong to make her parents hate her and send her away.
For the first few months, her anxiety got worse as she struggle to get used to the new environment and living away from her parents. During this time, her love for plants became stronger. Her uncle noticed this and began to teach her how to take care of them properly and how to arrange them so they looked nice. As time passed by, she started to grow out of her shell. Since her uncle lived in the countryside, there weren't really any people that she could talk to or play with. She realized how much she missed proper human interaction and vowed to start making friends as soon as she returned home. When she finally got back to the city with her parents, she finally felt like she'd grown up a bit, and she was ready to tackle any more hardships that came her way. She was no longer afraid of the cruel world that laid in front of her feet, she was ready to jump in head first.
