Eliane was raised from birth to be a knight. Without much emphasis placed on chivalry or social skills, she grew up to be emotionally stunted.
LATE TEENS INTO ADULTHOOD
Eliane spent her early adult years fighting in a war.
She eventually took down the enemy's last remaining royalty, a child, and was awarded "sainthood" for it. Shortly afterwards, she practically bended over backwards to save Aldis's life.
ADULTHOOD
For various reasons, Eliane was forced to adopt Aldis. She did her best, despite being very unsuited to it. They gradually formed a very quiet parent/child bond.
