Now older and with a family, he's far less impulsive. To be clear, he's still a dumbass, but in a more lovable, 'oh dad you're so goofy' way. He still tries to keep a lot of his life a secret, but now it's mostly just from his kids, not peers. He drinks less as well (he has a thing about refusing to drink around kids, so only does so once they've gone to bed), and has reluctantly given up smoking. Having been a military spouse for a number of years, he tries not to get too attached to people and places, but usually fails, meaning he has connections all over the country (most of them in the tattoo world).

Backstory
Backstory
After graduating high school, he goes back to Russia to fight for LGBTQ+ rights. He and Brody try to talk, but between the time differences and busy schedules, they fall out of contant rather quickly. He and his group didn't make a lot of headway in their goal, but the experiance was important in that it cemented his hatred for his home country. He returns back to the states seven years later, prompted both by Serafina's wedding and his injury to his knee. Well, not so much an injury as permenant damage sustained when he got it shot out after trying to flirt with the (male) police officer arresting him at one of his group's protests. As a result, he walks with a cane for the rest of his life, but also tells that story every chance he gets. He got into riding motorcycles because he wasn't able to drive a car or walk long distances with his knee, so that was just the easiest option. Plus, he thinks it's pretty badass.
More Backstory
At Serafina's wedding, he and Brody reconnect, and fall back into a relationship very quickly. He moves out to Las Vegas (after like two weeks of their being back together), as Brody was stationed there, and the two carry out a relationship, seeing each other almost every weekend. Petya finally goes through formal training to become a tattoo artist, and spends his days working in a local shop. In Vegas, he has several major milestones: first Top 5 concert, first real job, first apartment...basically all the markers of adult life. He and Brody get married after six months of dating in true Vegas style: 24 hour wedding chapel at 2 in the morning, pawn shop rings and all. They move into on-base housing shortly thereafter, and adopt their daughter, Sadie, about a year and a half later.
Even More Backstory
The move to California a year or so later, then to Florida, where they adopt their son, Arlo. Brody is finally deployed oversees to... somewhere with fighting when Sadie is 7 and Arlo is 2, leaving Petya to care for two kids andkeep up with his job. He takes the kids to work with him a lot, where they pick up some... colourful language, and also where Arlo gets his love of art. Brody comes back a year later during one of Sadie's dance shows (I'm a sucker for sappy bullshit), and a few years later the family moves back to Faircliff, where they take over John's old fishing shop. They travel a fair bit as well (not to Russia though), but don't move again.

Complete opposites. Arlo is very reserved and quiet, and is more willing to just accept the way things are than to fight for change. Petya tried for a while to bring his son out of his shell (so to speak), but gave up when it clearly wasn't working. Arlo does have the same love for art and reading as his dad though, so if nothing else they can bond over that.

He loves being married to him, and even though their lives haven't been picture perfect, he wouldn't trade the bond they share for anything.

They're a lot more affecionate now, but the most they'll do in public is hold hands. He strongly dislikes that Brody sacrificed years of their lives to the military, but he's mostly made peace with it. They're great co-parents as well, and people reguarly compliment them on how good their kids turned out. As Brody puts it, they learned early on how to argue with each other, so their disagreements are hardly ever relationship-threatening.

Now in his 30s and with a family that depends on him, Petya has managed to stay a rebel while being a functioning adult. After the accident that left him needing a cane to walk, he's had to rethink what his priorities were, and found them to be more about family and less about pissing people off, although he still finds making people angry a fun pass-time.
WORLDBUILDING
Faircliff
A fictional city somewhere in the Northeast United States. The main city center features the local high school, fast food place Burgerz 2 Go! and so much more. On the outskirts are the suburbs, a beach, and lots of nature. After Bordy's term is up, the family moves to a house in said nature filled area, next to one of the lakes. If you've seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Faircliff is sort of like Sunnydale in that it has every ammenity possible (airport, nightlife, big shopping mall) but is still a town where most people know each other.

A teen boy band similar to One Direction. Despite being a full adult with a job and mortgage, he is still a proud fan. The one benefit of moving around a lot was that he got to see a ton of their shows, and he's kept every single ticket stub, and bought every tour shirt and poster. He introduced them to his kids as well, although they didn't like it as much.

PROFILE
The name basically describes it: he can see ghosts. They can talk to him if they want, but for the most part they're just there, doing their own thing. Notables include his parents (died when he was 5), his youngest nephew (drowned when Petya was 15 or so), and of course Pavel, although they don't talk as much now. As an adult, this is still a thing. The number of ghosts he can interact with has growing exponentially as well, although as an adult he mostly ignores all of them.
STORY
He first found out about this when he was five years old, at his parents' funeral. He saw them floating off towards the edge of the graveyard, and was able to have a little conversation with them before his brother told him to stop talking to thin air. When he mentioned this to his brother he was told to stop messing around, but Pavel believed him. His parents never talked to him much in ghost form, but they were there for important life milestones like birthdays. Ten or so years later, his youngest nephew also died, and became the third ghost, and when Pavel died, he also joined the ranks. More and more ghosts have shown up in adulthood, including some of his team members back when he was working in Russia, older friends and clients from the tattoo world, and Lewis, one of Brody's friends who died overseas.
TRIVIA
- He first discovered this power at his parents' funeral when he saw them floating off in the distance
- He tried to use his power to ease his aunt's worries after his nephew died, but she didn't take it well and lost her shit at him. That was the last time he told somebody about this little power.

They don't talk as much, because although neither of them want to admit it, they've both moved passed needing each other's support. Pavel shows up on important anniversaries sometimes, but that's it, really.
Lewis • Family Friend
Lewis was an Army friend of Brody's and a close family friend to Petya. He died overseas on the same tour as Brody, and asks Petya (in ghost form) to occasionally deliver messages to his family.
