Theron is a lot nicer than people seem to think he is. He can generally crack a smile and join in on jokes if it's with good friends, but if it's with complete strangers he has a complete mask of professionalism. People usually look at him and assume him to be a big stick in the mud because of his resting bitch face, but he'll always try to help anyone, even complete strangers. He tries really hard to not let other people's perceptions get to him, but he will crumble terribly under too much pressure. He's also very naive when it comes to relationships and how to maneuver through them. He always tries his best, and would really like to show his heart on his sleeve, but anxiety related to people finding out he's gay stops him from really doing that.
Almost all of Theron's actions are dictated by his parabatai Dominic. He would do anything for his parabatai, mostly because he has a crush on the other boy. They've been sleeping together for 7 years and Theron is content like this, he believes that it's the closest he can truly get to a real relationship with Dominic.
