Difficult - Protective - Violent

  Idris is quite old, and because of this, he can come off incredibly crude, blunt, and cranky. In his own way, some of these attributes are due to his nature as a Bookling, wanting and willing to serve those who hold knowledge and are capable of power. But a lot of his attitude comes from having a difficult time understanding (or wanting to understand) others, and refusing to learn from most experiences.
He has, over long periods of centuries, become weary and tired of attempting to interact with potential masters or proper leaders... Deep down, this is a great area of his life that causes longing and strife in equal measure.

He's quite rough (easily provoked into attacking without remorse) and very protective of himself, mental or physical, for his own survival-- but if he finds someone he cares deeply about, he will do everything in his power to be loyal and servient for them. But even then... Communicating is quite hard... Biting is much easier.

Idris cannot recall exactly if he ever served someone in his youth as he wishes for now, but if he did, it must not have been a good experience...
