About
Smart, hardworking, curious, dedicated, and completely sells himself short. Silus doesn’t believe he’s capable of everything he can do, even though he has worked hard and mastered nearly everything he has set out to learn. Silus often feels inferior to others and worries he'll mess up if he tries something new. A perfectionist in the worst way. He has general and social anxiety, which makes him even more uncomfortable with the attention that comes with being the only mage in Hellainya, his homeland. Despite this and his quiet nature, Silus is willing to share his knowledge so long as he is approached with genuine interest. Deeply religious, Silus values actions that create good change...which only makes him worry he's not doing enough all over again.
Fy is not a name, but a title given to powerful mages in Hellainya. Silus is referred to as "Fy Silus" by everyone in Hellainya, except his family, out of respect.
Backstory
Vārein & Silus' mother, Fy Va, was the first magic user in Hellainya since their long war with their norther enemies, Nevu'e, resulted in their magic being sealed. She passed her powers to her children when they were born sickly, dying so they could live. At 15, the twins were summoned to train in Hellainya's capital city.
Silus allowed Vārein to transfer her powers to him, which caused him to Snap and flood with power. He's spent the past ten years learning everything he can about magic from scholars and texts.
Relationships
Vārein: Silus' twin sister. They lived together until they turned 15 and are very close. Silus missed his sister dearly during their years apart and is grateful to be with her again, even if she's annoying. He admires her boldness and ability to break the rules.
Fy Va: Vārein and Silus' mother. The first mage since the Nevu'e war. She died saving their lives when they were born by giving them her powers.
Sidur: Vārein and Silus' father. Still alive. A master weaver who loves his children and understands they need to find their own paths.
Moveset
A hard hitting mage. Silus focuses on attack spells with a single heal. He has high magic and strong defense, but terrible speed and movement. He takes a while to place, but when you get him in the right spot, he's deadly. Silus' spells are single target and AoE, but will only hit enemies.
