My daughter, Cicily, is quite the handful. I admit, I have spoiled her, but that is because she is my only family and I want her to have the best life possible. However, she needs to grow and mature if she wants to be the Queen of Baroque one day.
My father is the king of Baroque! He does splendid work, I’ve seen him say up from dusk until dawn writing letters of diplomacy to the neighboring nations. I hope that one day I will be able to follow in his footsteps and be a magnificent Queen. I have quite a large shoe to fill.
Jørn is one of my most trusted royal guards. I personally entrusted him to protect Princess Cicily when the war between Trathire and Baroque raged on. He is a strong and kind man whom I owe a great deal.
King Frandaar appointed me as a royal guard when I was very young. I must have been only a young man when he approached me. He knew of my powers and asked me to protect the Princess, and so I did. Instead of being in the Baroquian military, I am now one of the King and Princess’ royal guards, thus I still receive missions from King Frandaar when he needs me.
King Adrian is a lost soul turned evil. He will not listen to reason, he does not want to be diplomatic with any other Kingdom. His people are impoverished. They do not have enough food nor water. He will not help them... If only I had known of his existence sooner...
King Frandaar is a weak minded man and King. He does not know what is good for himself nor his people. I will overthrow the Kingdom of Baroque, and when I do I will have him drawn and quartered for all of the people of Baroque to see!
Captain Zorander. Z’ress is rather fond of him, though I do not see the appeal. I feel as though he might bring Z’ress back to her unlawful ways of old. I can see that he is a kind man, but he may put his crew above his new family. I simply wish that he does not break Z’ress’ heart.
Z’ress’s ‘Father’. We do not often see eye ta eye. I feel like he sees me only as a criminal, and not that I am trying to reform myself ta meet his standards. Ta be honest, I’m terrified of him.
Z’ress has come a long way from when I first met her. She was in one of the dungeons, in a cell when we first spoke. I could tell that she was not truly a malefactor, so I decided to give her something to live for besides living from meal to meal by appointing her to be a royal guard to myself and my daughter. I have taught Z’ress magic and through the lessons we bonded and now I see her as one of my own daughters.
My father. A title I do not give him lightly. When we first met I thought he was just as annoying as every other noble. However he came to teach me magic, and told me of his past. I suppose I missed having a family I could rely on.
