An uppity village girl whose body has been altered by her unwilling pact to a mysterious entity of the Deep ocean. As punishment for her refusal to serve, she is slowly turning into an undersea aberration. Prideful yet timid, she finds it difficult to bear when others stare at the permutations to her form, often unsure how to act under scrutiny. Fleeing her home to search for a cure, she was picked up by a travelling healer and is taking shelter under their wing. Despite her circumstances, she remains optimistic and is fumbling her way through the world outside her small village.

About
Once an ordinary village girl, Zhu Rong's simple life ended when the ocean sang to her and she answered its dark call. Though lauded by her village as a child blessed by the strange powers of the Deep, she refused to become a vessel of their making. She fled, fearing for her life - but those touched by the Deep are changed by it forever. She found herself slowly becoming something else, something more aberration than person, and started journeying in search of a way to return to normal.

Relationships
Kuya [ Unpredictable oddball ]
While heartened by Kuya's bright personality and optimism whenever the group finds themselves in trouble, Zhu Rong is often intimidated because of how off-the-wall he can act sometimes. Kuya is friendly to her when most people aren't, and that side of him scares her. She hopes to someday be able to extend her own hand of friendship to him and support him when he needs it.
Ouyang [ Big-brother figure ]
Both of them are a little on the shy, quiet side. Zhu Rong finds Ouyang a lot softer than how he initially seems, though he consistently claims to not like children (and her by extension). He's her silent ally and they both have bonded over a shared desire to belong somewhere. She wishes only the best for him.
Amasis [ Caretaker & Guardian ]
Amasis was the one who sheltered Zhu Rong when she needed it the most, and for that she will always be grateful to them. While they're not the most open about their emotions, Zhu Rong trusts them nonetheless and is consistently anxious to show them that they can also depend on her.
