Charlie the Firekiss's Links
Orrgeon is Charlie's wife, but she also considers Orrgeon to be her humanizing force. Without Orrgeon to give her a grounded perspective of things, and to believe in her, Charlie likely would have no motivation to become a better person.
Charlie is definitely Orrgeon's saving grace, ironically. Orrgeon needed to have a solid emotional rock after all of her years of what felt like temporary love (platonically, romantically, and with family).
Charlie saw Dexter as an uptight, bootlicking butler, and relished in pissing him off. However, as her worry for her soul grew, she began to resent how he was given a free pass into a good life while she had Hell to look forward to. After admitting to needing his help, she began to treat him better. A part of her wonders if he only helped because she was so important to Orrgeon, or if he truly believed that she could become a better person and redeem her soul.
Dexter isn't exactly fond of Charlie. At least, not at the beginning of their arrangement. As Charlie grows into a better person, he becomes more forgiving of her behavior. He hopes that his influence helps her, and can't help but feel as if he was part of the reason that she's grown. He was a little skeptical about the idea of fiends being able to "ascend", but seeing her progress does instill a little hope in his heart.
Plagueling is kinda weird and unsettling. It's like a cat that never blinks, but with opposable thumbs. And where does it keep its gun? She avoids being alone with it for long, but it's very cute when it's asleep.
"A fiend that hopes to save its soul from Hell, how pathetic. She leaves too much of her pathetic material form exposed, and spends a great deal of time grooming herself or the emotional one. Such a waste of her already limited lifespan."
