A care taker.

That's all she was meant to be to the diamonds. Especially since that one Quartz escaped. She wasn't meant for this, no matter how hard they tried to reform her.

She was her own person and the diamonds can go to hell. 

After an almost botched escape attempt, she barely escaped with her life, crashing and needing to hide in her gem for a while to reform. After popping out once more, she was under the care of the Mercy Court, and allowed to follow her actual dream: Piloting.
