About
Born in the southernmost region of the Isosia Wilds, known as Whitelight Shores, Jorunna spent her childhood and teenage years under the utmost protection, her arrival after a depressing and traumatic miscarriage being the biggest comfort to her family. Her parents, along with her overly doting older brother made sure to keep the young girl in their sights at all times, despite Jorunna's constant reminders to them that she was capable of being on her own. Her school years were a drag, the poor girl lacked in the social department due to her older brother's protective tendencies, which scared off any and all potential friends and romantic partners. By the time she hit high school, she had given up trying to get through to her big brother and stuck to observing others and becoming a people watcher. She did however find success socially online when her helicopter family fell asleep, becoming friends with many amazing individuals from across Etharia, and even meeting her girlfriend, Lumira, who just so happened to live in Whitelight as well.
After graduation, she wished for nothing more than to finally begin her life and live it without no strings attached, much to her family's horror. The idea of finally being able to become her authentic self and finally stop having to hide from the world had always been on the girl's mind, though she was terrified of revealing to her family her new relationship, and the friendships she made online. Arguments ensued daily when she finally let the cat out of the bag, and despite Jorunna's best efforts to reason with her parents and big brother, she reached a roadblock. Refusing to give up on the life she knew she desired and deserved, she planned an escape with Lumira's help, the two of them skipping town in the dead of the night to get as far away as they possibly could. From there, the two hotel hopped until they found their way further northwest to Azmarin, where to two found fortune in a small apartment big enough for the two of them. Soon enough Jorunna was enrolling in an online school, majoring in marine biology, and working as an intern at Olivander Aquarium on the side for extra cash. She was found by her family weeks later, their frantic pleas for her to come home falling upon deaf ears.
Despite their begging, Jorunna put her foot down once more, her exasperation with being coddled finally reaching her family. With hesitance, her family withdrew, supporting her decision to remain in Azmarin and continue her life as she pleased- though they blow up her phone constantly to make sure she is alright. She goes to visit every weekend on her days off, Lumira tagging along when she can handle Jorunna's brother shooting eye daggers in her direction.

Jorunna works with the penguins and nudibranchs at the aquarium.
Jorunna's older brother was suspended a total of ten times due to "protecting his darling sister from danger". That never stopped him from keeping an eye on her though. Creepy.
Her favorite pasttime is reading biology magazines.
When under intense stress, Jorunna can be seen pacing back and forth in her room, espresso in her hand and mumbling the dark magics.

Partner/Girlfriend
The two girls met on an online gaming forum, immediately hitting it off and spending hours upon hour together playing their favorite PC games and talking about their dreams and aspirations. The two had always joked about the other's home life- Lumira wishing she had a reason to not leave the house and Jorunna wishing her parents were as lax and carefree as the former's. Despite their differences, the two just clicked, and they found themselves harboring feelings for the other, ultimately confessing to the other and beginning a relationship.
Aquaintance
Finn joined Olivander Aquarium's staff a month or two after Jorunna began working there as an intern, the young man proving himself to be one of the most knowledgeable and passionate staff members of the bunch. His love for manta rays and the unknown depths of the ocean coincides with Jorunna's love for the more quirly of sea life- and the two find themselves chatting with each other on their lunch break. Despite wanting to get to know Finn more, he tends to not speak much about himself, which makes Jorunna even more curious.
Best Friend
Kyrie, being a freshwater mermaid gone rogue, and Jorunna, a lover of aquatic creatures makes for a unique and qurky friendship. Upon revealing her origins to Jorunna, Kyrie subjected herself to a whirlwind of questions and attempted experiments, much to Kyrie's and Lumira's chagrin. The two try their best to remind Jorunna that Kyrie is just like them (even if Lumira thinks Kyrie is a phenomenon as well).
