Previously a servant of the royal Amaranth house, Chester Basilheart works as a doctor/florist in the small mountain village now he resides in. Chester shares his cozy cobblestone cottage with his younger sibling, Sylvester, and they spend most of their days tending to Chester’s many plants and reading books by the fireplace. Chester Basilheart is an AU version of Chester Hubert.

|| History ||

• was a servant for the Amaranth royal house for several years. He tended to the house’s gardens and plants and also had a hand for medicine/doctoring. He hadn’t been working there long enough to be instated as an official member of the house, so he never took the Amaranth name.
• During his time serving the Amaranth house, he happened to befriend the house’s Beastguard, a soft-spoken pipe fox dragon named Sylvester. Although the house did little to hide their treatment of the pipe fox dragon, once Chester learned the true extent of it, he was horrified and disgusted. 
• While it was no secret that Beastguards were often mistreated by their house, seen as tools and possessions rather than individuals, Sylvester’s conditions were particularly alarming. The child was housed within the Amaranth dungeons in chains and muzzle (the house wary of the pipe fox dragon’s elemental powers and strength), and only let out when he was to be flaunted by the royals or made to do tricks. He was pressed not to speak and was punished if he didn’t act accordingly.
• As quick as he could, Chester formed a plan (with the help of a few other individuals) to break Sylvester out of his imprisonment under the Amaranth house. 
• They both escaped to a distant mountain village where they currently reside. The village already had one pipe fox dragon resident (of who, assisted in Sylvester’s escape), and the rest of the villagers welcomed them with open arms – determined to protect both pipe fox dragons  from outsiders who may wish them harm.

|| Trivia and Other Musings ||

• has a passion for cooking and loves to experiment with new dishes and techniques! He also bakes (and stress bakes…), and will often share his treats with the rest of the village if he makes too many for him and Sylvester to eat themselves. He is most known for his honey pear tarts and pecan pie.
• gives the best hugs, like ever.
• Has a history of chronic headache/hand pain issues he deals with on a daily basis. Some days are worse than others, but he’s learned to manage it over the years. He also struggles with depression and social anxiety.
• loves to knit and sew. Dozens of handknit blankets are thrown about their house. likes to make scarves/gloves for his friends too.
• Has way, waaaay too many plants. They cover pretty much every windowsill of the house and some even hang from the ceiling or walls. Also yes, he gives every single plant a name.
• is good with kids.
• Has a lovely singing voice and a talent for the ukulele, but is rather shy about it. Often hums and sings to himself while going about his day. Sylvester is probably the only person he will sing unabashedly in front of.
