Damien's Links
Damien doesn't understand how much his son dislikes him. Why should he? He didn't know Damien that well. Because of this, Damien knows their relationship is sour, and if that's what Aaric wants, then Damien will keep it like that. He doesn't want to try and make anything better and end up making it worse. Deep down inside, Damien cares and loves his son, no matter how much Aaric doesn't like him.
Aaric doesn't like Damien. At all. Damien is not only a terrible father in Aaric's eyes, but he also seems to float from one potential love to another, which bothers Aaric. In Aaric's mind, this means him and his brother were a fluke - sons that weren't supposed to happen. Thinking this, he takes out his frustration and emptiness about it on Damien. If he knew more about Damien, maybe it wouldn't be like this, but Aaric refuses to get to know him.
Damien is overly pleased to know Apollo is so interested in learning his ways. He never thought anyone would want to master flirting and stealing hearts the way that Damien does. Apollo is a natural in Damien's eyes, and it only makes him happier to mentor the young dire.
Apollo doesn't understand his brother's hate for Damien; he thinks that Damien is awesome. The way he can make any cinidae fall in love with him fascinates Apollo. He thinks this is a good way to one day impress his brother, so he's Damien's little apprentice. He enjoys to learn from Damien and be at his side, and doesn't seem to take notice in anything bad in Damien.
Damien... is not the best father. He doesn't seem to do the right things when taking care of Ike and helping him grow up. He's never had to worry about a baby cinidae around, let alone his own child. Because of this, he tends to ignore the more important things about fathering, and has a hard time finding himself spending time with Ike. Despite this, he does love his son, he's just... not good at the whole father thing.
Despite how bad of a father Damien is, Ike looks up to Damien and loves him a lot. He follows his father almost everywhere when he has the chance, and wants nothing more than to create a father-son bond with Damien. That doesn't mean it's going to be easy, but Ike is determined to be Damien's best friend.
Damien is very protective of his little sister. He loves her very much, and grows a great hatred for anyone that calls her ugly. He admits that he knows she's not the prettiest, but to him she will always be the most beautiful thing in the world. He's always ready to defend her from the harsh reality, and is by her side whenever she needs him.
Leilah is very grateful to have Damien for a brother. Although she admits that she relies on him a lot, she tries her hardest to help him in return. She feels guilty that he has to protect her and be by her side a lot, and she hopes that she can become a great sister towards him one day, where she won't have to rely on him and, maybe, he can rely on her one day.
Damien lets anything and everything that Seth says roll off of his shoulders and moves on. He knows that Seth has never liked him, and he's accepted the fact fully. However, he does wish that Seth would try and accept him. Yes, Damien is not the best role model, but that doesn't mean he can't be a good friend. If only Seth would open his eyes to that.
Seth never has and never will understand Damien. Who would want to go all around and swoon every other cinidae they see? It pisses Seth off. Because of this, he has a great dislike for Damien, and will never see eye-to-eye with the direcinidae.
