PERSONAL SKILL

William started out on the lance, but when he wanted to join the Noble Arcane who specialize in daggers, he switched his weapons out. For his age, the boy clearly shows he's going to grow into a big, bulky man. It makes him very tanky.

SOLO SKILL

- Name: Copycat
- Range: 225 FT
- Influence: William was inspired by Evan, Isa and Giselle, and overall the entire Noble Arcane guild. 

William has an incredible strong Skill in his hands, that being "Copycat." It grants him the ability to copy just about anything. 

He can Copycat physical things, such as fighting style or handwriting. He cannot copy something with less substance, like a voice. 

He can also use Copycat to steal Solo Skills. It becomes a carbon copy of the target's skill, abiding to the same rules that the target has. For example, if he copies Evan's Skill, he has to abide by the rule of "arm's length." That "arm's length" follows William's arm's length, as though it were truly his own Skill. He would not be held back by Evan's arm length. 

He has limited access to copying Link Skills. The rule here being he needs to already have a Link Skill with his target. For example, if William has a Link Skill with Evan, it means William now has access to all of Evan's Link Skills. He can now copy Evan and Giselle's Link Skill, Evan and Isa's Link Skill, or Evan and Nori's Link Skill. If he does not have a Link Skill, he cannot copy them. In this scenario, even though he can copy Evan and Giselle's Skill as well as Evan and Isa's Skill, he cannot copy Giselle and Isa's Link Skill. He has no connection to them in a way to Copycat.

About

William finds himself at home with the noble Lindberg family, a family whose claim to fame is wealth. They had settled in Yoria many years ago, after they had adopted William. Truth be told, William doesn't quite remember his youth all that well. He knows he was given up as a baby, and that he was adopted when he was but a toddler.

Thus, the Lindbergs have always been his true family in his heart. He's thankful for them! Though nobody would ever be able to tell he wasn't truly related to them, as the family has lighter colored hair. Perhaps they picked him because he blended right in. Whatever the case was, he is treated well and with love. 

William seems to be enamored with the idea of helping and saving others, especially once the Noble Arcane guild pops up and begins to take down criminals and human traffickers. A hometown hero guild!? He instantly knew he wanted to join them. He requested to his parents to put down the lance that he had been training with, and to begin dagger training. It's difficult, his hands feel large gripping them, considering they're used to a lance, but he's willing to put in the work!

And though he was on the cusp of 15, he had still asked Evan if he could join. It was a group meeting to decide William's entry, he was just so young. But also willing. It was decided William can join and help with small missions and learn the ropes around the guild. Currently, he spends most of his time trapped in the HQ. He wants to go on a big mission, but he's also really scared to mess up.

William has no clue how close to his true identity he really is, though. His birth mother is Maki, his birth father being Kinsley. His mother became pregnant with him in Sanctus Halisa, and fled before she gave birth to him. He had little idea she was doing it to save him, not realizing that separating the family from one another was for the best. 

She left little William- no, Kota- with a hairpiece much like Maki wore at all times, hoping the orphanage would find a better home for him then he'd have being brainwashed in Sanctus Halisa.

In Timeline 1 and 2, he never learns who his mom and dad are, never realizing that his big brother Ruka was literally the man serving him food at the Restaurant after successful missions. 

In Timeline 3, he learns about his family, starting to put the pieces together.

Relationships

Evan Artorius  [ boss ]

Evan is the leader of the Noble Arcane, and thus is a figure of respect and awe to William. Admittedly, William was shocked by Evan's true nature, finding him being so lax and silly a stark contrast to what he expected. But he still respects Evan all the same! If anything, he's a little relieved. William looks up to Evan, but still gets a little shy trying to talk to him. After all, he's the boss of Noble Arcane!

Emi Asai [ best friend ]

Emi absolutely won't let William live in peace! Ok, that was a mean way to talk about his best friend, seriously though! The girl drags him around and likes to bully him, but he knows it's a playful and rather gentle way to go about it. He tries to be her voice of reasoning, and often will be the one that truly listens to her girlish rants when nobody else will. His favorite past time with her is trying new foods at the restaurant.

Chika Yamasaki [ love interest ]

Chika is the cute girl in school to William, but he's just so darn shy. He's also aware that Chika seems to have her eyes on another boy, which low key crushes William's feelings. He doesn't approach her very often, and his cheeks turn red when he's caught off guard by her talking to him. He tends to lose a lot of his composure with her, and has to encourage and steel himself to approach her. 

Maki Ichikawa  [ biological mother ]

William- no, Kota- misses meeting his mother over and over. That's until Timeline 3, when their paths slowly begin to cross. He had always assumed he was an unwanted baby, a burden that was unfairly placed on somebody. He never dreamed he was cherished and even wanted, but for his safety had to be given up. It's mixed feelings, as he's grown quite attached to the Lindberg family, but also his desire to know who he really is makes him want to connect with Maki when he finally gets to learn about her. It also helps she's the sister to Sai, his teacher!

Kinsley Abbott  [ biological father ]

If William, though his true name is Kota, stands next to Kinsley, you couldn't deny the resemblance. In fact, Kota never would have a chance to meet Kinsley until the hands of fate reached out to him. When he gets the chance to finally interact with his father, you can easily see the shades of Kinsley in him. They're both firm in their beliefs, and will fight to the bitter end for them. Kota will look up to Kinsley, seeing him the idea role model. Of course, these feelings alter slightly through the timelines, as sometimes Kinsley is more the antagonist and stands for everything Kota is fighting against. 

Ruka  [ brother ]

Despite the fact Emi is Ruka's adopted sister, he's never really interacted with Ruka. What a shock it'd be to find out they're brothers! William knows of Ruka's existence though, and thinks he's a sly but benign type, who wouldn't hurt anybody. Perhaps in the future as he continues hanging out with Emi, he'll get to know Ruka better! Little does he know the two perfectly resemble their parents, Ruka being a little Maki and William being a little Kinsley.
