Character

To describe Kao is one word, she’s.. Eccentric. She’s usually smiling or having some kind of fun, whether it’s an act or not is uncertain. She prefers to keep and create secrets, and hates when people try to forcefully uncover her hidden depths. Normally creepy and odd, she becomes much worse when her identity is at stake. Do not mess with a girl’s mask.

She can come off as… Enigmatic, or awkward, with her obsession for Art. She sees the world from her own tilted perspective, where morality can be skewed for the sake of artistic purpose. That the world is made of only two kinds of people- the Artists, and the Consumers. Her opinions of others may be skewed based on how she sees them, with a preference for other artists.

Another odd trait that ripples through her personality is her unusually upbeat attitude. It’s not that she’s overly positive or optimistic, but that she’s thrilled by horror and loves to bask in the aura of fear. She gets bored easily, and always wants to do something artistic when she can.

History

She doesn’t disclose anything! It’s hard to find anything about anything about her. As far as anyone knows, she appeared out of nowhere one day wearing a mask and sold artwork to people. Her hometown, birth name, everything.. Seems to be locked away. Originally people just seemed interested in her odd and creepy art, which typically fit under the genre of Dystopian Surrealism, but she’s grown a sort of cult following of fans that spend day and night trying to discover who she is and gather any tidbits of information they can find on her. Nobody has a clue who she is behind that mask and... well... That’s all part of her appeal! She doesn’t need the mystery, but she enjoys seeing people scramble over who she is. "Who I am isn't important, it's what I create, ukuku~"

Notes

• She laughs. A lot. Expect to hear “Ukuku” whenever she’s around. She also has a habit of asking rhetorical questions.
• She’s an artist! Expect her to create art out of almost everything around her. Being an oddball multimedia expert, she makes sculptures, paintings, photos and also enjoys sewing! All of her outfits are handmade! 
• Her mask is top of the line! It’s strapped all around her head and attached to a kind of black veil underneath, so that it’s practically impossible to pull off of her face. Whatever it takes to make sure nobody can learn her identity. Her mask doesn’t seem to muffle her voice at all, and is even capable of emoting! The face of the mask is some kind of screen that displays a chosen emotion based on the wearer’s facial movements. Because of it being a screen, her mask’s face also glows very slightly! She seems to be able to change the brightness if needed, but doesn’t often use that option.
• Also her outfits have internal pockets! And if she doesn’t carry her supplies inside her outfit, she may carry a bag around instead. She likes to keep her clothing fresh, and changes every chapter.

Dimitri is a performer of sorts! A master of the craft of performance art, the way she sees it. What draws her to him so much is uncertain, but she absolutely sees him as an artistic muse, and maybe even friend?
