Basics
Elrik is a boy who lacks a bit in the confidence department. He's behind his peers in terms of experience and ability, but he makes up for it with an earnest approach to life. He tends to have a small smile at all times, which makes him seem perhaps a bit airheaded or lost in thought. Truth be told, he just really doesn't want others talking to him too much- he's actually a homebody and a shy recluse.
He fears looking like an idiot, playing it off by biting his tongue, holding back tears and waving off his mistakes. Thus, we circle back to his insane lack of confidence. Elrik is one to follow rules and instructions, and would actually make a very good soldier if they ever decided to switch his role. That is, if his tender heart wouldn't hinder him.
Elrik is a boy of regular stature, though he's growing muscles as he continues to train his body. He has an undercut, with the bangs on the left side of his face (your right) being longer, and braided back. It's technically French braided into place, rather than pinned, a skill he has learned. His eyebrows are a bit thick, and his hands are often red or bruised since he's not used to waving his sword around just yet.
Elrik is right handed.

PERSONAL SKILL
Elrik is behind in terms of his age to his skill and the program he was inserted into. He's got a decent body that gave him a leg up, but he's got a long ways to go. Because of his lack of refined training, his style can be a bit hard to read, which gives him the advantage in being somewhat unpredictable. Though he's not a dirty fighter, he'll use the environment to his advantage.

About
Elrik Kepner is the younger brother to Orla Kepner, and the two were born into the Church of Sanctus Halisa. The two were raised to be a priest and priestess, but overtime the clergymen felt that Elrik would actually suit the shadowy elite force they kept of assassins. Elrik was already in his teen years when they decided to flip him from priest to assassin.
This was a shock to Elrik, who didn't think he'd suit assassin work. It took him a long time to reason out why they'd do this, ultimately falling on the idea that he was good at taking orders and had the physical capability to carry out tasks. And he knew the Church and the Knights did not get along, so they'd never hand him over to be a knight willingly, not when he's grown up so long to be a priest and with a sister rising through the ranks of the Church quickly.
In Timeline 1 and 2, Elrik remains in Sanctus Halisa and never makes a major appearance.
In Timeline 3 and onwards though, he begins to play a more prominent role. From here on out, he is now to escort Orla and Yulian outside of Sanctus Halisa, being their personal bodyguard as they search for suitable sacrifices.

Elrik being the little brother to High Priestess Orla and an Assassin recruit means he was sent out on the mission as well. He will not be taking part of the ritual, but instead being a bodyguard for Yulian and Orla, two very inexperienced church officials who are leaving Sanctus Halisa for the first time.

Elrik is aware of Yulian because of the two being raised in the Church. It isn't until they begin their journey together though, that they truly get to know one another. Elrik deeply respects Yulian, who is older and has a very high position in the Church as well as being one of Queen Juliette's handpicked orderlies. It's probably Elrik's own fault he started to fall for Yulian, becoming quite the little puppy and following him around. Elrik realizes his own feelings though, and is horrible at playing them off, actually being quite obvious. He's often looking away while blushing when Yulian catches him staring.
Orla Kepner [ elder sister ]
Elrik knows his sister well, and knows that she's just even shyer and more reserved than he is. He feels deep respect for her, and likes to ask her about her day and make sure everything is well. She may be the elder sister, but he's the one that tends to dote on her. In a way, he's almost like a kid trying to impress an adult with her. He's also protective of her, which helps him in his job of being her bodyguard. It's difficult to get her to openly make small talk, but if anybody can do it with ease, it's her little brother.
Nikko Yasda [ colleague, (TL3+) rival for love ]
Nikko and Elrik are both in the Church's Assassins Group, though Elrik was enrolled later than Nikko by a handful of years. Still, they never paid each other much mind. Nikko was the troublemaker of the batch, though Elrik was shocked to see how much Nikko changed over the years. He lost a lot of his spark, what made him the bad apple, becoming such a reserved man. In Timeline 3 and beyond, Elrik suddenly is gaining Yulian's attention. Nikko may not be romantically interested in Yulian, but Elrik can tell that Nikko still is not the happiest with their budding relationship.
