Formally the Equinoxx Air Racing League’s shining star, prizewinner pilot and media darling, Lazlo Dazzle has recently been stripped of his titles (and dignity, he would argue,) amid a cheating scandal he maintains—frantically and at every opportunity—that he had no part in. Banned from races and reputation smashed to bits, he clings to his dazzling stage name and the hope that one day his innocence will be confirmed, his glory restored. Until then, he’s stuck working at his dad’s air transit business, putting his speedster skills to use in flying nobodies from point A to point B.

Moody and arrogant, Lazlo will be the first to tell you he cares more about his plane (the Wicked Windchill) than about other mythics. The chasm-wide chip on his shoulder is hard to navigate around, even for himself, but under his sneering attitude and icy charm is a surprising streak of loyalty and fondness—good luck coaxing it out, though. Truth be told, racing has been his everything for as long as he can remember, and without that, he’s scared to admit he isn’t sure who he even is. Yikes, that’s rough! Maybe stop partaking in dangerous behavior to get out of thinking about that, bud!
