Krell's Links
Chanelle is so sophisticated. When they were younger, Krell really just wanted to be just like her, but over the years has come to terms with being her own person, though in some situations, she still asks herself, "What would Chanelle do?" They are still close even though Krell moved off world, & she appreciates that Chanelle takes the time out of her busy schedule to come to Xygoroth despite obvious tensions to visit.
She honestly misses Krell being little. They had so much fun as kids. Channell can't help but come visit every few weeks not just because nostalgia, but because she's so proud of who her sister became. Their parents were really against Krell moving off world, especially to Xygoroth, & were always too controlling for Channelle's taste, so she's glad Krell made her own decision.
She finds Briandy more intimidating than Jackson, but she somehow takes comfort in that fact. If she scares the shit out of her, she's decently sure that patrons wouldn't dare cross her.
While she would like to think that Loxley could handle it all on his own when Bri isn't around, she knows that's unrealistic on a Saturday night. She hadn't wanted to hire such a tiny gal, but the kid's got spunk, & she doesn't get phased when a Xynthii makes a crack about either her gender, height, or god forbid her species. What a firecracker.
Loxley has pretty much changed any perceptions about Xynthii that Krell ever had. He seems like a big friggin teddy bear. How did he ever get along without her? She's seen him get mad at someone like once, & it was more like mildly annoyed with some snarky comeback. I mean, come on now.
Without her, the weekend shifts would really, really, REALLY suck. He is beyond glad he's got her to watch his back & keep the drinks flying. Plus, man, this chick is funny. For someone so tiny, she's got a big voice & she isn't afraid to call it likes she sees it.
Damn, why are all the good & attractive men unavailable? Shit, she was so excited to work with such a cutie only to see his girlfriend bring him to work the second day on the job. But she won't be a home breaker, so she won't flirt. Who knows, maybe he has a cute brother or a hot bestie.
Well, she's a little ball of energy, & a fast learner, but he worries that she's easy to pick up. Granted, he can't tell her how to live her life, but as the security, he feels like he needs to watch over her. Is that so wrong?
Krell is STILL embarrassed that she went home with this guy. Does she have a thing for Xynthii? Yes. Does she think he's cute? Yes. But now he's calling her & being weird. She doesn't WANT a second date, or dinner, or flowers, or sexting messages. She's done.
Um... what the fuck? He's the one that doesn't call back, not her. Not to mention, he knows he was amazing, & there's no way she doesn't want more. Goliath can't fathom not being desired after the night he gave her, & nor can he imagine anyone that measures up to her. He can't & won't admit it, but she's starting to really get to him. She's like a song he can't get out of his head without knowing the full song.
Krell still feels guilty when she thinks back on how she treated him. Being a kid, she didn't understand what drew her to him & even less why she would be bullied for being nice to him... So she'd gone the complete opposite of the spectrum. Recently she had a chance sighting of him & all her guilt came bubbling up to the surface. She couldn't even bring herself to call out to him. All she can do now, is be a better woman.
Xan remembers her with a pang of fear. She knew just how to get under his skin & make him feel like a freak. When they were in middle school & higher, she stopped, but she only ever apologized once, & the other memories remained vivid. He knows they were just kids, but he wasn't sad she moved out of the neighborhood.
He was shocked to see such a tiny gal in a joint like this, but with people like Bri & Jackson around, he shouldn't worry to much. While she's not a xynthii, she is a looker, he will admit. She's got brains & looks though considering how she tends to trick drunks into making better decisions. He's witnessed it.
