Obsidian was a demolitionist who fought for Homeworld during the gem war. She was bubbled before Era 2 and freed when Era 3 began, at which point she began living on Earth. At some point she began a relationship with a human man & accidentally conceived a child, Dante, who now takes her place. The "hallucinations" Dante experiences are the result of Obsidian attempting to reform.
