Ahkrahn

Ahkrahn is a tall, beastly monster that roams the woods outside of The Kingdom of AshSpire.

Ahkrahn was born into a litter of 12 "puppies", being the runt of his siblings. His father was a completely unknown monster, and he was often teased and bullied by his brothers and sisters. His mother refused to care for him, believing he would be the first to die in any given situation.
The second youngest of the litter, Ahkrahn took care of his youngest sister. She was timid and shy, but still believed to become far stronger than Ahkrahn in adulthood.
As the years went by, and the group of siblings grew into strong, fierce beasts, Ahkrahn was the shortest, and meekest of them all. He still had a rather "beefy" build to him, but it meant nothing in terms of strength. His teeth were smaller, his horns and claws shorter, and his mane much less full than the other males of his litter.
Despite this, his young sister still cared for him, and made sure that her share of food was given to him in secret. She did not mind if she went hungry for a few days.


On one unfortunate nightfall, AshSpire's knighted enforcers were deployed to the nearby wood, acting out one of their routine culling parties, in which knights would set traps, draw weapons, and kill any monster they saw moving.
Most monsters hid, and any too slow enough to get away were murdered or kidnapped.
Ahkrahn's mother, himself and his siblings were sound asleep in their den when they were the rumbling of horseshoes and the hollering of knights outside. Peaking out of their den, they witnessed a few fires blazing the dry bushes surrounding their home. As the smoke filled the air they had no choice but to escape.
Haphazardly exiting the den, they all ran in the same direction, as knights spotted them and ran after them on horseback.
As the smoke became more dense, it was hard the family to stay together, and eventually they had split off in completely different directions. Ahkrahn and his younger sister were alone in the now chaotic woodlands, trying to find an an exit from the thick brush and towering trees.
Eventually they ran into a dead end. Their advance was halted by a large rock formation.
With no time to climb up it, with risk of being shot down and killed, they had to defend themselves. Ahkrahns youngest sibling had motioned him to stay behind her, as knights pointed spears and crossbows at them, keeping their distance from the much larger monster. Baring her fangs, she lunged at the smaller humans, attacking them and fending them off, shouting at Ahkrahn to make his escape. He didn't want to leave her behind, insisting he could fight too, but there was no time to argue, as his sister violently fought off the attackers, he desperately made his way up the formation, running off into the trees.

With no mother, and no siblings, Ahkrahn depended in only himself to find food and shelter.
Over the course of the years, Ahkrahn had slowly learnt his races adaptive skill, which was to change the shape and color of his body. In doing so, he took the form of a feminine humanoid unicorn, luring knights and adventurers with the form, only to devour them once they had gotten comfortable around him.

Nowadays, Ahkrahn is not overly talkative, and his social skills only lessened with age. He can speak full sentences of his own volition, but simply chooses not to, rather speaking only a few words a day.
Ahkrahn loves to nap, spending most of his days sleeping, upwards of 16 hours a day, only waking up to eat, or if woken up by another member of the house.
Ahkrahn loves to be pet, and is often stubborn when the petting ceases. He would never admit it, but his favorite thing is being showered with affection.

Ahkrahn is unsure if he will ever reunite with the rest of his siblings or mother, and is unsure if they are even alive, but he hopes he will one day see them again, and he hopes they will still be friendly towards him.
