Donovan came from a very affluent family in uptown New York, he was arranged to marry a girl from another family, who was quite frankly a loveless, cold, and calculating woman who just wanted all the money she could get. When he started to voice his concerns to his parents, they decided it might be best to back out... three days later, their manor burned down. It was meant to kill all of them, but only killed his parents and burned the hell out of Donovan's back after being pinned. Hence why he has burn scars around his neck, shoulders, and all down his back.

He's set to inherit everything that survived as soon as He's eighteen. Until then, he lives with the Colubrids, and after then? He plans to live nearby and continue to help out while he works on going through school to become a physics teacher.

He's very skilled with math and physics in particular, and has a passion for helping others learn. He's been given the nickname of teach at the GC for this reason, and frankly it fits him.

Don is close with Wooley and Cody, being gentle and a good comfort to those around him much like Wooley is the two just get along really well.
He's close with Cody as he helps him with homework often and mother hens him to make sure it gets done before he sits down to paint.
