Friendly and emotional

Opus is a young astrolyte with high hopes and enthusiasm to spread joy and friendship wherever they go. They are as supportive as possible. Unlike the ghost haunting them - which can't help but put her opinion into every other interaction they have.

History

Opus hatched under the care of their mother, Penguin.
They grew up happily with their mother, playing and exploring in Aitsua. However, they didn't have the most friends, not wanting to worry their mother and ducking out of dangerous or a little bit concerning. However, they made their longest standing friend with a lyte who has a similarly worrywart of a guardian, Mizzle, where the two of them do everything together.
Opus stayed good friends with Mizzle, picking up Growth magic after being spurred by their friend's interest and enthusiasm. They express their interest in nature with frequent visits to Florya to admire the wildlife!
With Mizzle's trip to assist in Solar Submergence, Opus has realized how much they depend on her for companionship, and how much their ghost haunts their thoughts and paranoia. They've learned how they struggle to be alone for too long. Fortunately, over 2021 Solar Submergence, they made a point to spend time with their mother and Mizzle's grandmother, who helped them through it.

Personality

Opus is sweet and thoughtful. They can immediately be considered personable and likes to make people feel as comfortable and welcome as possible. They enjoy making friends and sharing their passions, but they're perfectly willing to put themself aside to make decent conversation. They have a habit of quieting their own passions so someone else can talk. They have a habit of taking rejection quite personally, though, which doesn't help with the ghost within their haunted heart echoing their insecurities back at them.

Appearance

Opus is an astrolyte who marks odd resemblance to the kiwi bird, with thick talon hindlegs and a long, whiskered beak. The wings on their arms aren't mature and the wings as their ears are quite expressive! Their cheek and belly lamps are a sweet pink coloration.
