Chaotic and loud

Rataplan is a lavaling with a somewhat untraditional approach to the worship of Incidium. She's loud, boisterous, and somewhat explosive like the absent fiery god, and hopes to leave such a big mark that the gods can't help but look over at her.

History

Before she could even hatch, Rataplan's egg was left as an extreme offering in attempts to communicate with the god of Aitsua, Incendium.

After Incendium clearly didn't make communication with her parents, her egg was left to the caretakers of the Incendium shrine. She hatched being raised by their religious values of caretakers, but ended up being a little bit more fiery than they quite expected.

She took in a Torz she found a few months after the the Starfall Festival. She named it Dogma when it didn't run away after she played with it. Rataplan grew increasingly more attached when she projected that the little torz was left behind by its shower. She has no idea if this really is true, but it brings her comfort.

This is why she was devastated to hear the Cult of Incendium expected her to leave Dogma in the volcanic tunnels for the god. This made the rift between Rataplan and the clergy much greater than it ever was before.

As Rataplan grew up, she found herself avoiding the group more and more. She still lives there and settles for a good nights' rest there every so often. But she's tried to pave her own path by being a bit of a public menace instead of a polite little clergy member.

Personality

Rataplan is impolite and rash, and that's exactly what she's going for. Wherever she goes, Rataplan wants to make a scene and be seen. She loves attention, all publicity is good publicity. But she hates to be criticized. She knows what she's doing! There's no need to hear anyone's opinions on how she ought to live her life. Afterall, she's listened to all the advice they've had to give and none of it has gotten Rataplan any closer than where she wants to be. She tends to be emotional, but tries to save it for her little Torz, Dogma, to console her, as not to tarnish her punk reputation!

Appearance

Rataplan is a quirky orange lyte with stylized pink, white, yellow, and orange hair slicked forward. She has swirling cloud arms around her shoulders. She frequently wears a leather jacket or yellow scarf. Her red lamps appear under her chin, up her left arm, and striped on the tip of her tail.
