Toxic masculinity and refusal of allowing people close to him because he's "a bad person" and is used to being treated shittily is instead transformed to "no one can get close to me because it threatens my position in a hierarchy". Show no weakness so you cannot be usurped from a position of power. Except Valentine she can stay she's just a little quirky.
