✩ appearance ari is a tangerine tiefling with hot pink freckles, black sclera & light pink/white pupils, gray "ram's horns," a pointed tail, and hair that is a gradient/ombre of various shades of purple, green, and deep blue. he wears eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow mainly & draws little hearts or shapes under his eyes. he doesn't do more than eye makeup and highlighter/contour most of the time, but on special occasions he will wear lipstick and such. he's almost always in black clothing-- shapeless long-sleeved shirts or overcoats and shawls & really sexy boots. he makes his own clothes most of the time and is a very good tailor. he doesn't wear a lot of jewelry but he does have silver on the tips of his horns.

arizona is a coward at heart. this is his biggest struggle— figuring out how to put others before himself, how to keep his dignity while staying safe. when he runs from prince texas prior to the campaign, he is running because he is afraid. he has issues with commitment and romantic love, though by the end of the campaign he is trying harder because he truly loves the queen annaliese— he just needs his space. he is hedonistic and devout. he loves getting blackout drunk and participating in orgies, and his time in ocros during the campaign is the longest he’s gone without having sex. however, he “worships” his patron saint phoenix and truly believes in the power of the usasian saints to change the world around him. he is somewhat quiet about his religion when around others, because he knows there is cognitive dissonance, but phoenix will love him regardless of what he has done. his biggest fear is one of being watched by an outside party, or someone who will harm him. being stalked, followed, etc. sometimes this drives him to panic episodes, though he doesn’t mind being *seen* when he wants to. arizona is chatty and cracks jokes at inappropriate moments. overall, he is in it to save himself.

✩ backstory
Arizona de Mamiel Tippon (male, he/him, tiefling sorcerer) was born into a city state nearby/an ally of Ocros, Usa (pronounce: uh-ssa) and is an Aries Male. He was raised to pay respects to the Saints (his patron: Phoenix) and is surprisingly devout for someone with a religion kink. He was also raised a minor noble, one that is important enough to go to banquets and be rich but not important enough to be consulted during wartime or the likes. He had a generally eventless childhood, spending a lot of the time being a minor klepto and getting away with it because he was Rich and being taught the ins and outs of his draconic bloodline magic by his widowed mother, Cassidy de Mamiel. His father, Loren Tippon, disappeared and was presumed dead, despite a body never being found, just weeks before Arizona’s birth.In his teenage years, Arizona fell in with a group of higher nobles as he attended the capital, Dici's, university. He grew into hedonism in a lot of different ways– specifically once crashing a royal ball and finding himself in a very moody prince's quarters. Arizona and Prince Texas fell very quickly into a lustful relationship, one that they both kept secret from their families and most friends, as Texas had a role to play in the kingdom and Arizona was decidedly not a part of that picture. However, over time Arizona's relationship boundaries were pushed into the realm of dishonesty/cheating, Texas didn't care and also grew jealous of Arizona's skill in magic and scholarship, etc etc. Cassidy went abroad to seek more knowledge about magic and such, leaving Arizona at university. During this period, Texas and his relationship was deteriorating So Quickly. Finally, it was revealed that Texas very explicitly cheated on Arizona with one their mutual friends and often third, Daphne. Instead of addressing these issues, Arizona fired back by sleeping with one of Texas’ suitors who had come to visit in Texas’ bed. Texas sent someone to set Arizona’s garden on fire, Arizona smashed all of Texas’ mirrors, and then Texas threatened Cassidy’s life, to which Arizona immediately responded by ripping Texas’ fake, onyx eye out of its socket. Because this was a direct “attack” on the prince, and because Texas was Very Angry, Arizona was quickly named an enemy of the state, causing him to flee with the stone eye and a good bit of money from the palace. He fled to Ocros with the money, the eye, a bag of things, and a small sewing kit. However, his sorcerer senses tingle about the stone eye, so he is trying to figure that out as well as a way to contact his mother without being hunted down. Arizona is bi, a guy, and doesn’t wanna die! he’s outgoing which keeps ruining the fact that he needs to keep a low profile. Texas is after him because now it is a game. There is some major horny energy going on at all times.
