Zyanya Chry Caldecott, commonly known as Zyanya or Chry, is a female Jellybean Dragon who is nearing her senior years, but certainly hasn't lost any of her spryness and vibrant energy. Zyanya is a multi-talented individual who has led quite an interesting life full of personal growth. In her pursuit to find her true calling has done too many things for even her to keep track of. She's been a waitress, a romantic advice blogger, an author, a private detective, a consulting detective, and of course a hardworking mother and a wife (until the separation and then divorce from her husband).
Since the divorce, Zyanya's been on a mission to find herself while still being there for her children and being a good mother. Zyanya is an exceptionally brave and fiercely loyal individual, she'll stick by those she loves and isn't afraid to leap in to their defense. She is also quite confident and used to getting her own way, often using her many charms and skills to her benefit. She also enjoys showing off from time to time and has quite the flair for the theatrical, as well as being quite flirtatious. Zyanya is also quite enigmatic and doesn’t tend to reveal too much about her past, often prefering to leave the past in the past so that she doesn't have to feel the pain. The only exception to this if it might help someone if she were to impart some knowledge that she learned from a lesson from her past.
Zyanya is also a very loving individual with a big heart, certainly quite motherly and affectionate. She's always got room in her heart for more individuals, which is why she's adopted so many children, including those who were left orphaned on her ex-husband's side of the family. Zyanya was born somewhere cold, somewhere she doesn’t remember because she didn’t stay there very long. She was born the middle child of three girls that her parents had and was always trying to stand out among two other her sisters, but in the end always felt as if she was always overlooked. At some point late in her childhood, her parents split up which caused both she and her sisters to end up getting separated and split up between their parents.
As a teenager, Zyanya became a bit of a flirt, confident in her beauty and sexuality that she took a great deal of enjoyment from teasing friends or flirting with others. If there was another thing that she was well known for during her teen years, it was that she enjoyed showing off, something which often got her into a great deal of trouble. After winding up in jail for a day, she cleaned up her act and swore to be a better person. She worked hard to do better in school and she did just that, managing to pull her grades up so that she could be a part of some clubs to keep her busy and out of trouble as well as allow her to be able to graduate.
After graduating from high school, she went on to a junior college where she fell in love with a handsome male Jellybean Dragon by the name of Pyrrus (Pyro) DeWitt and ended up dating him. In order to help pay for her education, she did various odd jobs and rented an apartment, which was broken into by thieves and then set ablaze. This caused her to end up being the roommate of a young female bean named Amanda Lynn Sonata. While rooming there, she helped Amanda Lynn and their neighbor, Toothless, get together.
During her whirlwind romance with Pyro, they adopted a set of orphan twins named Papyllon and Kallima Vesela. After adopting them, Zyanya decided to quit school in order to stay home and be able to raise her two adoptive children. During that time, she started a blog about...pretty much everything from love to raising twin orphans. Through blogging, she found another passion: writing stories. She managed to finish one book and get it published, it was successful locally and gave her a nice amount of money in order to help her and Pyro afford a wedding. After their marriage and subsequent honeymoon, Zyanya became pregnant with their first child, a boy whom they named Blaise. Not long after Blaise came her second biological son, Rakesh, then another son named Azaxyr, and then finally she was blessed with an adorable little girl whom she named Melody. While raising all these children, she hardly had any time to work on writing more books, let alone think about getting a job. It wasn’t until after the twins had grown up and moved away, as well as her other three sons that she decided to go back to pursuing her writing again. She also started working as a detective, mostly part-time. It was also during this time that she began to feel that her marriage was failing, but insisted on making it work. It seemed to her that it worked out and she and her husband were back to the way they were, until one day Pyro left her, without any explanation or warning. Heartbroken over the divorce, Zyanya tried to pick up the pieces of her broken heart in order to be strong for her daughter Melody and be able to keep the house and everything. It was through this rough period that Zyanya wrote her second book, which received critical success and lead to her writing an entire award winning series.

Joby Armstrong Fiancée
Zyanya met Joby at Joby's coffee shop/pub called The Roasted Bean while she was working on one of her PI cases. A fellow divorcée, they found it pretty easy to bond over their shared experiences in that regard as well as being single moms and being proud moms on top of that. Zyanya really enjoys flirting with Joby, it's probably embarassing to watch, but she doesn't care. Zyanya finds Joby to be adorable and beautiful and she just wants to take her with her on all sorts of adventures - both "normal" ones and more "unique" ones (aka time travel). She adores Joby and just hopes that she can accept and want to be a part of Zyanya's admittedly crazy, interesting and unique life. A life which has been a big determining factor as to why she hadn't tried to get back into the dating scene for several years following her divorce. Zyanya is admittedly playing it safe with Joby, she doesn't want to go too fast or lose herself in another romance where she feels like she loses her own identity.
Pyrrus "Pyro" DeWitt Ex-Husband
Pyro was Zyanya's first love, she met him while attending junior college. They had quite the fiery whirlwind romance and they eventually got married when Zyanya had graduated college. Together, she and Pyro adopted a set of twins and had four children of their own. While Zyanya certainly will never regret any part of her relationship with Pyro and still loves him, but their marriage fell apart and they found themselves becoming separated for a time. That separation eventually led to a divorce. The divorce hit Zyanya hard and while she is still on good terms with Pyro, she's still working on recovering from the divorce.

Papyllon Vesela Adoptive Son
Papyllon is Zyanya's adoptive son, having adopted him and his twin sister Kallima when they were seven years old and raised them with her fiancé and now ex-husband, Pyro De-Witt. Zyanya has always been endlessly supportive in all of Papyllon's many passions and changes in what he wanted to be when he grew up. She is still very close to him and visits and is visited by him and his adorable family very frequently, something that she's very thankful for.
Zephine Vesela Daughter-In-Law
Zephine is Papyllon's wife and Zyanya's daughter-in-law. She gets along with Zephine quite well and she's very happy for both Zephine and her adoptive son Papyllon. She appreciates how frequently Zephine comes by with the children to come visit her, she also admires Zephine's artwork and has frquently commissioned Zephine to help her create book covers for Zyanya's mystery book series.
Zolezzi Adoptive Grandson
Zolezzi is the first of Papyllon and Zephine's adoptive children and the first of many of Zyanya's adoptive grandchildren. She loves little Zolezzi, or Ezzi for short, though she does worry about him a great deal due to his unwavering belief that all fictional TV shows, movies, and books are in fact reality and that history books and other non-fiction things are actually fiction. Despite her concern, she has decided to go along with what her adoptive son and his wife have decided to do and has pretty much given up on trying to change the way that Ezzi looks at the world and just hopes that Zolezzi doesn't get taken advantage of when he gets older.
Jubilee Adoptive Granddaughter
Jubilee is the second of Papyllon and Zephine's adoptive children and Zyanya's adoptive granddaughter. She enjoys spoiling Jubilee with things that relate to her passions like buying the latest superhero comic book for her or getting her art supplies so that Jubilee can continue to make her own comics.
Aruna Granddaughter
Aruna is Zyanya's granddaughter, she is almost the spitting image of her father, which is something that Zyanya often remarks on whenever she sees her. She loves Aruna and spoils her much as she does with all of her children and grandchildren, often buying Aruna items to help her better enjoy stargazing and also DVDs for her favorite sci-fi television shows.
Rufus Grandson
Rufus is Papyllon's only biological son and therefore Zephine's grandson, she loves him very much and is very supportive of Rufus's endeavors. He's distanced himself a bit from the family and she unfortunately hasn't seen or heard from him in quite some time, but she still sends him gifts for his birthday and holidays. She was very surprised to learn that he got married, but she is very proud and happy for him.

Barry (formerly known as Blaise) Stormageddon DeWitt is the first biological son of Zyanya's that she had with her ex-husband Pyro. She loves her son, though he does worry her sometimes, but she remains supportive of him and his endeavors. She's still having a hard time adjusting to the fact that he's a child again and that his new name is Barry, but she's sure that in time she'll get used to it.
Rakesh Son
Rakesh is Zyanya's second biological son, one whom she has admittedly been worried about ever since he ended up becoming king of an island. However, after getting to visit the island and spend time with him, she knows that he's doing well and is happy. She often brings her family to come visit him for the holidays so that they can spend them together. It's a little strange being treated like royalty while at the island, but it's something that she's slowly getting used to.

Sinclair DeWitt Adoptive Son/Ex-Nephew
Sinclair is Zyanya's nephew by marriage and is now also her son by adoption after much of Sinclair's family had disappeared. She loves Sinclair and does her very best to be a good parent to him and support him in his interests in marine life and marine biology. She often buys him books and videos on the subject to read or watch with him. Getting used to his pet octopus Kraken has been hard, but she's doing her best to be less squimish about Kraken for Sinclair's sake.
Flayeux Adoptive Son/Ex-Grand-nephew
Flayuex, or Flay for short, is Zyanya's grandnephew on her ex-husband's side of the family. Similarly to Flayuex's uncle (and Zyanya's other adoptive son/nephew) Sinclair, Flay too was left orphaned after some unfortunate circumstances happened which left most of his family dead, so Zyanya ended up adopting Flayuex and now he's her adopted son. She's still just getting to know him, but she hopes that he'll come around and become more comfortable.
