Mars is incredibly intelligent, but he chooses not to do anything with it. People often assume that he's stupid because of the way he portrays himself, being very outgoing and confident and bold. He just wants to have a good time making money and is extremely sociable, so working as a host is a great way for him. He doesn't like following other people's rules and expectations, so he just does what he wants. But he still is living a full, responsible life and pays his bills.
As a host, he can make decent money from tips, but it was hard to live on his own. So he took in a roommate, Takeo. He liked having the company around. As much as he likes to be independent. but he loves company more. He loves to get to know people, but when he talks about himself, he tends to be vague, make up stories, or tell something true, but make it sounds unbelievable.

Their arrangement was one of convenience. but now they work better together than they would have ever expected. Takeo is the straight man to his wild one in terms of talking. Neither of them meet the expectations of their looks.
