I personally think Jet should have won :///
CACKLE BUT THIS IS AMAZING THEY BOTH GOT BLUE SUITS AND EVERYTHING ASF;LDKFJ;LASJ THANK YOU
If you're looking for a quicker, (hopefully)understandable description of Jet's concept, click the button below.
🌠Jet is a fundamentally massless being that has been alive for an infinite period of time. He is not a living organism, he is just a consciousness. Due to his unending lifetime, he has experienced everything there is to experience in the universe, from sledding down a volcano, to being a rock for 29994945 years, to taking off his shirt in the middle of traffic on an Earth-like planet with a pink sky and screaming "free tacos for all that accept tetragonal blue lamp prisms! wee woo wee woo wee woo" in the inhabitants' native language. Sort of.
He has done everything that is physically possible, but not everything that can be conceptualized. Because of his seemingly unending knowledge, he knows about hypotheticals such as traveling faster than light and going from 2D space to 3D space. But his infinite lifespan guarantees that he will never be able to do these things for real. The rule of thumb is, if it's possible, he's done it already. And due to infinity being, by nature, an unending quantity where both ends cannot be approached by any means, there are no 'points' of his life. No evolution, no phases, nothing. No parts of his life where he has physically done less than he has currently.
It's as if the universe is torturing him constantly, dangling these concepts in front of his face even though he has always known that they will never become a reality.
He does not need a physical form to survive. And his real name isn't Jet; he can't and doesn't have any intrinsic details like that.
Sometimes everything isn't enough.
I will refer to this character as Jet in this profile. It may be periodically updated, because the very nature of this character makes it impossible to explain him in full detail; I always have a feeling that something wasn't explained well enough.
Jet is an existential experiment. His very concept does not allow for him to fit into a typical storyline. He is everything that can and will be.
And sometimes everything isn't enough

Insatiable
It's not enough. Everything else is forever out of reach. Impossible, for no reason other than this world says so. It plays its sick games by pulling out concept after concept, until it reveals them all to be just that; concepts. Not actions that can be carried out anywhere in this wasteland.
Constant
Things have never been different. It's the difference between playing with a red cube and a purple cone. It's ridiculous to call that 'change.'
Indiscriminate
Everything there is to do has been done. No one thing feels better than anything else. It's all the same.
Hopeless
Nothing will get better. And that can be said with 100% certainty.
Lifetime
No beginning, and no end. Permanently in a constant state of existence. Unable to get out, and guaranteed to be here forever. Why is that? Well, think about it. Jet has been around for an infinite period of time. There are no 'subdivisions' or 'eras' of his lifetime. There was no single point a thousand years ago where he could've suddenly faded out of existence. In relation to when is this thousand years ago in question? 2017? And what planet is this year based off? Earth, or an exoplanet? Regardless of this, 2017 is neither closer to the end nor beginning of the timeline(due to the nature of infinity). Therefore, it should be considered '1000 years ago from 2017,' not '1000 years ago.' And no matter how many years you go forward or back in an infinite timeline, you will never be able to make even a planck length's worth of progress towards one end of it.
There is no possible answer to that if the timeline is infinite 'both ways'; that is, not just starting from somewhere and going forward forever, but having neither a start nor an end.
Is he a god?
One thing is important to note about Jet. Despite his abilities to control the tides, create objects out of thin air, travel the speed of sound and much more, he is not omnipotent. He's not even close. Whether or not he would be considered a god is up for debate. I would not classify him as one.
If we're going under the assumption that anyone or anything with superior abilities to someone/something else counts as a god, that means that humans could be considered as such when compared to ants. While ants have some impressive abilities of their own, in a fight between one ant and one human, it's clear who would win. Possibly, a swarm of thousands of ants could take down a human. But it's just that; a swarm. An overwhelming amount of force on their scale is needed to defeat just one individual of a percieved god-like species.
Now, let's utilize the definition of a god as an omnipotent being, which seems to be the most agreed-upon definition.
If you went around and asked people whether they consider humans to be classified as gods, most would likely say no. Of course, that's a whole other philosophical argument to discuss, but the point remains: if humans cannot be gods to, for example, ants, because we are not omnipotent, then Jet cannot be a god to us because he is not omnipotent either. Relativity between abilities becomes irrelevant.
But then that alone begs the question: why and how is Jet not omnipotent? It's rather simple. He exists within this universe, not above or outside of it. He is not its creator, he is just another being within it. He is chained down to the laws of physics just as much as we are. His abilities may seem impossible to us, but he can pull them off because they are technically possible to carry out, by the rules of the universe.
Abilities
As stated before, Jet has been around forever. He has done everything there is to do and seen everything there is to see; if it is physically possible, he has done it. For things that are seemingly impossible(e.g building a pool and having a pool party on a neutron star), he uses the power of illusion to his advantage. He may create a neutron-star look alike with none of the real thing's properties, making it possible to have a pool party after all. Therefore, 'anything that is possible and possible to give the appearance of doing' is a more precise description for his experiences and abilities.
If you're lenient on the definition of 'omnipotent,' then you could say that this proves he does actually fit that description.
But he does not have infinite power. I think it's already occurred to you that he will never achieve this, nor is he currently anywhere near that.
Jet is desperate to do the things that he cannot do, despite knowing(and never not known) that these things are impossible. It is eating him alive, and it will never stop. One example is 'dimension-hopping,' which will be defined as traveling between spatial dimensions(e.g 2D to 3D space). Nothing in our world is 2D; sure, we can look at 2D surfaces, such as computer screens. But these things don't exist as objects on their own, they are forcefully attached to 3D objects that do exist in their own right. Dimension-hopping is impossible because it requires an object to sacrifice one or more of its dimensions, or gain one or more that it does not have. Objects are unable to do this, so that results in them being unable to exist in different dimensions.
Due to his vast knowledge and experience, Jet knows the answer as to whether the universe is infinite or not and how long pi is. Due to his vast knowledge and experience, this knowledge is forever locked away inside of him; inaccessible. Remember, he has experienced every possible scenario, including those that are practically identical but just a little bit different. He has experienced a scenario where he has said 'yes,' and one where he's said 'no,' when asked if the universe is infinite. He's been in one where he said 'blue ultraviolet radiation' instead of a direct answer. He may choose to tell the truth or to lie. There is no possible way to confirm anything that he says. He has been rendered incompetent because his knowledge is too vast.
Purpose
Jet's purpose is, yet again, a whole other philosophical argument to discuss. It depends whether you believe that everything in the universe has meaning, or nothing does. Or some things do and some don't. Another problem of trying to deduce whether Jet has a meaning is the fact that we're not certain that he exists. There is no proof that he is anything more than an existential experiment; a work of fiction.
But who's to say things with meaning have to be proven to exist in the world?
Unfortunately, that doesn't help. It doesn't even make a dent. The only thing that statement proves is that Jet could have a purpose, real or not. You could say that maybe his purpose is just that; to exist as a hypothetical mystery. But what's stopping anyone from saying that it's something completely different? Nothing is.
Can he go the speed of light?
At this current moment, it cannot be known.
Photons have no mass, and they travel at the speed of light(c). Jet has no mass either; he is just a consciousness; a presence, not a living being per se. The only times he has mass is when he assumes a physical form, whether from his own creation or from taking over that of something/someone else. And things with no mass are the only things in the universe that can reach c. So, by that logic, he should be able to just hop out of a physical form and go the speed of light. Problem solved.
But it's not that simple.
The aforementioned photons don't just move around freely and then choose to accelerate to c when they feel like it. There is no acceleration involved with photons; they are constantly traveling at c. Jet is not, because he is not a photon. The only things we know of that travel at c are things that have been doing so without interruption since the day of their creation. Jet has traveled at a variety of speeds before; the speed of sound, π km/h, as fast as a commercial jet(880-926 km/h). This alone sets him apart from massless particles; his speed changes with what he wants to do at the current moment, because he is sentient.
Photons also have energy. Does Jet have energy? Well, something has to have been powering his mind, right? But if Jet had energy, wouldn't that mean that changing his own speed would be impossible? Wouldn't he have been bound to traveling at c for his whole life, which would have made him unable to experience everything that the universe has to offer?
The problem opens up a whole host of questions that seem to do nothing but push the answer away further.
