History:

Orutan grew up in an orphanage in Shimo. She has no idea who her parents are, and doesn't really care at the moment. As long as she can make friends and keep herself busy, she'll take on anything the world throws at her!

Well, when Orutan thought that, she didn't expect to get lost on the way to school. And then get snatched up by some ninja teacher telling her she shouldn't have been able to "waltz on in here". And then get basically adopted by said teacher and taught how to become a ninja. But Orutan won't complain! She's actually becoming quite attached to her fellow students and Fuyune-sensei.

Fun Fact: 

Orutan is very good at reading people's emotions. Her time in the orphanage allowed her to get a sense if someone was angry or happy, even if their expression was blank. Often, the kids' caretakers would wear permanent smiles to appear approachable, but to Orutan, it was extremely disconcerting to have good news and bad news come out of the same-looking face. So, to combat this, she taught herself to read people so she wouldn't feel blind-sided if she was turned down by a prospective family again. And if her intuition failed her, she got quite good at poking people until she received either a positive or negative reaction.
