Having gone to school a year later due to her late birthday, Mel is in 9th grade (currently) in Fairweather High. After the incident in 5th grade, she has been roaming the hallways alone, secretly wanting people to be friends with her, but not having the confidence to ask.
She's not exactly the happiest of people, nor is she someone nice to be around due to her condescending and sarcastic tone. She also seems to be "observant" (nosy would be a better word here) to her surroundings, silently commenting on mishaps and "bad decisions" of her peers.
For example, there's a new idiot in school, who's been going around hanging out with the "cool kids", while also not realising they are making fun of him, never mind blatantly manipulating him to do stupid shit. He's being completely ridiculed. Which person in the world would be this dumb to not notice? "Arin was his name I think..."

After an unwarranted lash at him, Mel gets him to understand he doesn't have the friends he thinks he has. This makes Arin latch onto her, like a leech, having no one and nothing else; wanting her to guide him. She has no choice but to let him. She's not the friend she wanted exactly but...

Appearance
- She is a human with light skin.
- Her hair is mostly neat. She has a large tuft at the top and a "swish-y" end reaching until about her upper arm. Colourwise she has naturally brown hair but dyes it a desaturated blue where her shoulders start. Sometimes she ties it in a ponytail.
- Her face is round.
- She has round eyes with standard, small eyelashes. Her eyes are lime green in colour.
- She has long thin eyebrows, a long sharp nose and a wide mouth.
- She wears white round earrings on each ear.
- Her body type is somewhat fit with soft curves.
- Her fashion sense is as simplistic as it gets. She wears desaturated pastel colours (typically purple, pink, blue) with grey tones. Her clothes types range from shirt to shirt to pants and pants, maybe even a jacket.

Arin
[ friend? ] He was that annoying new kid that seemed to know nothing about the world; well, nothing about how cruel people can be anyway. Mel, silently writhed as she saw Arin make friends with the wrong people. When she told him all hell broke loose and he stuck with her. That was... unfavourable but what can she do?
Chris
[ disgusting person ] Chris is one of those people that Mel would never converse with. He's uncaring, ignorant of other people's opinions, thoughts or feelings. Besides that he doesn't spread rumours about them. Good thing but still... loathsome guy.
Kelly
[ unfortunate acquaintance ] Mel and Kelly go back; way back. They used to be friends until the incident, until she had to leave the school. Mel never got over what happened, and neither did her classmates who spread rumours about her. At least she wouldn't have to see the source of her trauma face to face again... right?
