hi this is still kind of a wip bc i have SO MUCH information for This Man that i don't know how to divulge it all in here?? anyway hes wrens pretty trophy husband and he is very nice and very charming and he sings like a dream and he wanted to have a family band bc wren likes to dance and he figured they could all be creative but it turns out pip is very uncool like that so his dreams were dashed... but he plays the fiddle and he got the twins to play stirng instruments with him and other stuff, and he likes 2 grow plants and make cute little critters and hes a Good Man. he was basically wellstones local (hippy? its rly late right now like i said this is still a wip) (imagine lots of singing w/ acoustic guitar (oh my god did he ever play wonderwall..... oh my god NO... NO LUDIS) in the town square for coins as a kid) who has never been afraid to get his hands dirty. he can fix just abt anything. anyway. HERE HE IS!!!
Ludis, or Lu (or 'honey' or 'darling' or any other sweet nickname, if it's Wren referring to him), is a very smart, solid, and handsome curio. If we were rolling DnD stats for him, his charisma would be off the charts; he is absolutely the charmer of the family, and where Pip gets most of her own charismatic tips! He has the most velvet voice Wren has ever had the pleasure of hearing, and he uses it to his advantage whenever he needs to. He has always been a very placid individual, and very few things can ruffle his feathers. If you need someone to bounce ideas off of, he has great insight into most any ideas, and he loves to tinker around with things. Give him one idea, he'll make several and bring them all back to you to play with yourself. He loves to share, he loves to sing, and he loves to make things. He loves his family, and he especially loves his big, buff wife. He's the pretty trophy husband she's always wanted, and they both adore each other to no end. Pip gets a lot of her good traits from her dad, but especially her pinkness and her shortness; Ludis is only about 3'8", 3'9" with his poofy hair.
Before Ludis met Wren, he was his town's golden child, helping out with whoever needed anything. His family has always had a very talented green thumb, and Lu was growing every kind of flower you could imagine before the age of ten. He loved to help his neighbors with their own gardens, coming over to water things when they were busy, or helping build some pretty solid trellises. He learned his way around growing most everything in Wellstone, and could cultivate some amazing moss roofs, and he loved to make just about anything out of any spare parts the neighbors tossed his way. A broken lawn mower? Consider it fixed. Or perhaps repurposed. He could never decide... but his greenhouse space looked like quite the workshop. Eventually, though, he discovered a deep love for creating mobile gardens in the form of mechanical crablings. It wasn't just about growing a beautiful plant, but making a little creature... and then figuring out just what it wanted to grow within itself, with a little bit of prompting! He found that the rarer the greenery, the more likely the crablings were to wanting to grow them themselves. So off to adventuring he went, in search of more unique flora for his experiments.
During a particularly lengthy search in the jungle, Ludis finds himself trapped under a dead tree. Luckily for him, who should find him... but the most beautiful curio he'd ever laid eyes on (maybe it helped that she had hearts in hers, too?): Wren easily lifted that dead tree up off of Ludis, and the rest is, well, history! Nowadays, he helps fix anything broken around the house and around town, and he's happy to grow just about anything in their backyard greenhouse. You can find him sketching out mad plans for the next big creation... that is, if you can convince him to leave his workspace first! (Just ask Wren to get him first; he's happy to do anything for her.)
