Angel Aura Quartz

CHARACTER INFO

Angel is a bit on the antsy side, but this ultimately balances out with the rest of her team. She's a valuable tactician, and prefers to keep her distance in combat, firing off rounds with her bazooka. Emotionally, she can be a bit intense, and isn't afraid to butt heads with others when she feels she needs to. She's defensive over those she cares about, and would (and does) easily take blows for them. Like canon Amethyst, she faces insecurities related to her "defective" nature, and frequently worries about her relationship to her friends as a result, and their perceptions of her both as a person and as a fighter.

GEM CLASS INFO

Angel Auras are a rare type of quartz, which only form due to a regular quartz bonding with certain minerals they absorb from the surrounding earth during their formation process, causing their unusual coloration. In terms of functionality, they don't differ from other standard quartzes, such as amethysts or jaspers.

HISTORY

Angel Aura was created on Earth in the beta kindergarten during the war for Earth, and emerged from the ground about a thousand years too late. Shortly after emerging, she encountered another gem hiding out in the kindergarten, a fusion gem called Charoite. The two eventually left the kindergarten together, wandering the earth while avoiding the ongoing conflict between Homeworld and the Crystal Gems. At some point along the line, they discovered a downed Homeworld ship being worked on by a lone pearl, obviously attempting to repair it back to working order again. The two watched from afar eagerly to see if she'd actually complete her task, and as she drew close to completing the final touches, they snuck aboard hoping to make it off-planet. They did so, successfully, but not without getting caught shortly after all. They poofed pearl in a panic, intending to just hijack the ship for themselves while leaving her bubbled, but quickly had to let her out when they realized they had no idea how to navigate the ship's controls themselves. The relationship between the three was rocky for a bit, but soon they became quite a close-knit group, if a bit unlikely. All three eventually found their way to working for Idocrase as a team of gem hunters, a profession they've all now come to heavily regret for a multitude of reasons.
