Visual

Visual is a warm, charming, and fun loving person. He's studious and hardworking, but hates physical activity and avoids it as much as possible. He's a huge nerd highly knowledgeable in science and math and an excellent baker due to his intense sweet tooth. He hates bothering people, whether it's by asking others for help, or if it's sharing his problems with other people. He instead prefers to ignore his problems and let them fester. He loves sleeping, but he also loves forgoing sleep to study instead. He exists mainly on a diet of strawberries and desserts involving strawberries.

If he gets upset he refuses to acknowledge it and will do whatever possible to get it off his mind. This is what results in his overworking habits, as well as his refusal to have any “let’s talk about our feelings/problems” conversations. When he eventually cracks he just shuts down and avoids everything. He likes having someone there to comfort him, usually just with any sort of physical affection rather than talk. He finds emotional conversations to be cringeworthy, preventing him from being able to formulate thought or open his mouth to speak. It does help to have someone talk to him in general, about anything else, without needing him to respond.

Though generally very laidback and goodnatured, he's prone to annoyance with anyone whose behavior could be described as rude, vulgar, or unruly. Typically he can hold his anger in very well, but his limits end with people who are unrelentingly obnoxious; noisy, hyperactive, crude, that sort of thing.

Though known to be a partygoer in the past, he's mellowed out and matured at what he thinks is an age appropriate level, and intends to continue to do so without issue. He aspires towards a cozy life, married, 2.5 kids, cats, white black picket fence, stable job, all that.

Visual comes from a wealthy family. He has an older half-sister, breadwinning father, and late mother. As a child, he was the closest to his mother, as his sister was mean to him for reasons he was too young to figure out, and his father is a very hands off, zero affection, stoic, distant parent. His mother was bright and kind, however. Unfortunately she passed when he was six years old, leaving him feeling totally alone.

As a very young child, he went through a traumatic event at the hands of his sister, who considered him (and his mother, her stepmother) completely unwanted. She tried to get rid of him, leading him out to a forest far from home and telling him they were going to play hide and seek. Instead, she ran back home, leaving him behind, and as a result he went missing for a little over a day. After he was found, he was noticably different, not quite as trusting or happy-go-lucky, and never (to this day) outgrew a crippling fear of darkness.

After his mother's death, and a bit of growing up, his sister changed her tune, realizing that he's not to blame for any of her familial issues, he's just an innocent kid caught in the middle of all of it (and she hurt him badly). They were able to forgive and forget and became really good friends. Which is fortunate, because their father wasn't pleased with either of them for a lot of reasons, so they needed to seek support from each other.

As a teen, he was highly rebellious, mostly acting out to get attention, or to lash out at his father. Despite that, his studies were perfect, it was just his edgy appearance and sudden interest in partying culture. His relationship with his father was strained from birth, but got worse not just as a result of all the acting out, but for coming out as trans and bisexual (very openly and unapologetically).

In high school, Visual moved to live with his sister overseas, while his father cut off all contact and financial assistance. Here, he met up with his childhood friend he'd known for only a few months as a small child, but clicked with so much, their bond managed to carry on all those years. He also met his boyfriend here. Overall, things were immediately much better the instant he moved out.

Currently he's in university studying chemistry, and lives in his own apartment with some financial help from his sister (who has a ludicrously rich, generous husband).
