About

Shina is a 2nd year student in Denkouse High (Denkouko), a school that train future heroes and heroines to develop their potential powers to serve and protect. Her heroine persona, Cyclone, is a speedy, tactical-type fighter, often times relying on newly-developed fancy gadgets made by KTo Tech. She is both the face as well as the successor of said tech company, her father being the sole founder and current president of the company.

Shina's parents made sure that their daughter would enroll in Denkouko to be the best of the best, so they trained Shina since she was still a child. Thanks to the rigorous training they made Shina participate in since she was young, Shina became very adaptable to any environment she was placed in. Shina also became mentally strong, rarely throwing a fuss nor crying in front of others, which her parents always boasted to their peers.

Despite the usually calm, friendly front that Shina put, the girl deeply suffered from her parents' questionable methods of "training". She had blocked all the memories that she has of her unfortunate childhood, especially ones that would still make her stomach churn whenever something reminded her of that time. Whenever she came face to face with something that was a part of her deeply buried memories, she would hyperventilate and try to find any tight, small, dark space that she could crawl in. Unfortunately, her parents never give any attention to her outbursts, so Shina learned to deal with her emotions herself.

While Shina's friends started to rebel against their parents, the thought of disobeying her parents never came to Shina's mind. She knew it was her responsibility as the only child of her family to be a model citizen that is worth the public's praises and admiration. She was always busy with something- if not TV appeareances, it would be magazine interviews. Shina never really minded the attention, she even would brag about it to her friends whenever one of them started to gush about seeing Shina on the internet or news. Shina, with the thought of her being the best of the best, became very much full of herself and prideful since she was too young to have the world's spotlight on her. Her parents encouraged her behavior, completely feeding her vanity with materialistic possessions.

Shina was never a bright student, but she excelled in any type of sports imaginable. She always became the school's star athlete, bringing in many gold medals and trophies for her schools' extensive trophy room. This only feeds her ego more. She learned that knowledge that was taught in school was useless anyway since she always outshine the brightest students in the school. From the moment she became aware of that thought, she completely stopped trying to do good in school. She knew the teachers and principal wouldn't dare to give bad grades to the daughter of one of the most influential businessman in the country.

Enrolling to Denkouko, Shina had no choice but to live with her grandparents since her main house was too far and she doesn't want to spend two hours just to go to school everyday. At first, she was very much uncomfortable by the humble condition that her grandparents were living in. Unlike her parents' sizable luxurious mansion, equipped with the world's finest tech imaginable, her grandparents lived in a mid-sized traditional Japanese house, located in a quiet neigborhood not too far from the hero school. She was quick to adapt to the condition, faking her distaste at first. She had to go to school on a traditional, non-automatic bike (yuck!) everyday and do chores to help her already aging grandparents.

Fast forward a year after she moved, Shina seemingly became a whole different person. She was genuinely cheerful and lively. Unlike her former self, she doesn't mind dropping by to help anyone in need of assistance whenever she could. She grew to love the quiet summer in the suburbs, grilling and eating yakitori with her grandparents, buying herself her favorite popsicle from the corner store down the road, all the menial things that her old self would scoff and look down on. She insisted on staying whenever her parents asked her if she would like to return home for holidays, finding the presence of her warm, loving grandparents much more soothing than her parents. She also started to try her best to study with the help of her neighbor upperclassman, one whom she lovingly refer to as Hao-nii.
